Even before I walked into the clinic for my free exam, I already felt cared for. The woman I spoke with to make the appointment listened to my concerns and ensured me I was in good hands -- she was totally right, I was in the best hands for orthodontic care!
During the exam, Dr Hicken and his team rocked it! They were efficient, yet thorough. They empowered me, going above and beyond in educating me on my proposed treatment options, my orthodontic insurance benefits, and the general progression of treatment. To be honest, there was so much ease to the conversation, I felt welcomed and as though I was taking with old friends.
As someone who is apprehensive about dental work, I was truly excited to begin treatment at Woodlake Orthodontics -- yes, this excitement stayed through the entire treatment. I looked forward to going to the dentist! (Crazy, I know!) At my appointments, while working (super efficiently I might add) Dr Hicken and his team shared jokes, laughed, and showed time and time again that they truly cared. I never felt rushed nor like a number. They honestly know my name and I know theirs.
In the blink of an eye, my treatment was done. To say I love the results is an understatement. I am completely blown away. I now have a smile that gives me confidence, and one that I want to show off. Honestly, I can't stop smiling! My orthodontic experience was truly the best! I recommend Dr Hicken and his team without reservations!
Fun fact -- they have a pet wall of fame! I added my pet to the growing wall of patient and team members' pets. It's awesome!
What about money? Woodlake Orthodontics believes all should have access to orthodontic care and have in-house no-interest financing available. They'll tell you about this at the exam and give you a break down of cost for your personalized treatment recommendations.
Insurance: they work with all dental insurances through employers and some state insurances. They are very knowledgeable and did a great job helping me understand my insurance benefits (including submitting for HSA).
Scheduling: this clinic gets busy -- rightly so, they're the best of the best! I'd recommend making your appointment as soon as you know when it should be. If you're scheduling an exam and they're out a bit, I'd still recommend to schedule -- having treatment with Dr Hicken and his team is 100% worth any wait.
Demographics: Throughout my treatment, I saw people of all ages in treatment -- from little kids all the way up to grandparents and in between Guess there is never a wrong time to get the smile you've always desired!
Technology: I didn't have to get the gross goop impression (I don't think this clinic does them anymore), because they have a super cool scanner that takes the impression and stitches together a 3D model of your teeth in under 5 minutes. It's so cool!
Services: Invisalign --Actually, they're in the top 1% of Invisalign providers. Regular and clear braces. Various corrective appliances.
COVID-19 safety measures: everyone is masked, patients and staff -- they'll instruct you when to remove and put back on your mask. Everyone is screened at each appointment -- cool and super easy electronic forms (very much appreciated!) Limiting number of people in the clinic. They're cleaning all the time! Super easy text messaging check-in. Honesty, with COVID and the safety measure they have in place, I felt more safe here than elsewhere in public.
Overall, my Orthodontic experience was better than I ever anticipated, and it is all thanks to Dr Hicken, and his phenomenal team -- clinical and administrative! Thank you Woodlake Orthodontics!
