Right before the appointment time, he's pressing and explaining again about the $95 service fee. So I called him to inquire if he's been scammed before and to assure him I would pay him when he showed up, and he'd already explained to me what the $95 is for. His response was to just hang up! That tells me that he was probably just planning to take the payment via zelle and never show up or perform a bad evaluation to mark up his price. A decent established business wouldn't be pressing so hard to make the customer feel uncomfortable, or they would apologize still to come to service the call. I've never dealt with a business service provider in California City that was like this, and I do a lot of business in California City with them because of the many properties I manage out there. So if you wanna use this guy, just be weary on him. Keep pressing and explaining about the service fee when he already explained it the 1st time on his 3rd time explaining and not even on the job site. People go through financial hardship and be thirsty and just be so focused on getting the money in their hands amd completely forget about how to conduct business. I don't know how more clearly he can get. Yes the $95 is for you to show up to evaluate the problem. I called, texted, and wrote to get them to come back and service the new oversized unit they sold me. I also needed a different themostate. I needed one I could read. No response. This woman owned business sent a representative, who is also their technician, out to evaluate my 30 year old Carrier unit. It still ran, but I was previously told I couldnt get the freon it needed. I was offered a last years model Carrier unit. It was a 3 ton. Mine was a 1 1/2 ton unit. I questioned if it wasnt too big. Tech said no, it would use less energy since I have a small 1000 sq. ft. home. As everyone can see...they saw me coming. I'm in my late 70's. I'm on a fixed income. I'm looking at my Edison bill. Im dumb founded. I tried registering this unit by serial and model numbers. Not sure if it worked. I still have not received any paperwork or invoice. I did get and email which indicated B and D Mechanical received $7800.00. from me. I bought a themostate from Home Depot. My son installed it. The Carrier unit on my patio starts up with a loud clatter, is noisy, and moves. I will not recommend this company.
