There are more cars on the road with…read moreless-than-attentive drivers, as well as an uptick in bizarre weather patterns that threaten us with hail, winds, and freezing temperatures - all of which can cause nasty damage to property and services we rely on. I have always been with State Farm, but transferred my policy to Greg Meyer's office when I moved to Texas. During a storm, I experienced a broken limb from a front yard tree that impaled the roof of my house. State Farm handled my claim quickly and professionally. I recently spent an hour on the phone talking to Greg to review my present policies, allowing me to ask a number of important questions. I appreciate this kind of service, and I can absolutely recommend this State Farm Agent.

I was confused by this, mainly because there were other State Farm agents much closer to where I live. This was more of a minor annoyance. The major annoyance came when I got into a car accident in March of 2019. This resulted in my year and three month old red Honda Civic being totalled. The accident was not my fault and State Farm did pay for some of my car's value. I feel for what I was paying them for insurance and the young age of my vehicle, they should have fully paid for a new car. I lost about $4000 in the difference of the settlement check paid and buying a new car. Please note this was the same model Honda Civic, just a year newer. A few weeks later I ended up in the Emergency room with severe positional vertigo as a result of the accident. The driver who hit me did not have insurance, so he did not cover anything. I had spoken to an representative of Greg Meyer's office about my insurance coverage shortly before getting divorced and moving to an apartment. I set up rental car insurance and rental property insurance. I had comprehensive insurance coverage on my car, but did not have uninsured motorist or PIP insurance. These guys did not make me aware of how vital these two pieces of coverage are. I am now facing over $5000 in associated medical bills with no way to pay for any of it. This office let me down and financially I am now screwed because of it.

    Like many of the reviews here, horrible customer service. Simple changes off removing / adding a…read morecar seemed to be rocket science for them. On top of that, Jeffery insinuated with unprofessional passive aggressive emails when we simply wanted to know why we were not covered when we had PROOF of requesting to add on our 2nd vehicle. It's a disaster over there. And unacceptable for something this important. We are moving and switched to a much better auto/home insurance company. And happens to be cheaper with better coverage (and FAR better customer service). Wish we switched 4 years ago, verses giving this person our business.

There's a piece of mind in having a local agent handling all my home, auto, and motorcycle policies that I can't get simply buying a policy from the cheapest site online. The best part has to be the email correspondence. When I was considering a new motorcycle, all I needed to do was send Jeff an email with the VIN and desired coverages and in no time I had a PDF attachment in email with costs all broken down. And, when I screwed up and told Jeff the wrong VIN on the one I bought, he's cool as a cucumber and just made the change to my policy. The second-best part is the online portal. Sure, most major carriers have this today, but being able to pull all my info and check status of my policies and renewal and discounts and such myself is hugely beneficial. I don't want to call or email bothering Jeff with something like a Declarations page, and having that information available within a few clicks (and on my phone no less), is fantastic. Now, I've not had to file a claim yet, and I hope I never do, but I have every reason to believe that Jeff will be there to help me through that process if every the need arises. Bottom line, I feel like I'm in good hands with Jeff Dietz at Allstate.
