The only time my automated credit card payment did not go through in the last two years and they cancelled my policy without informing me. I immediately paid for my coverage as soon as I found out. The one thing I am very dissatisfied with this company is that they raised the insurance with basically saying it's cost of living is the reason when we are in a recession. Not only have been paying years and years and no accidents but yet I get my insurance raised. That's all bs. Greg Meyer is not a trustworthy person you want to do business with. My sister has been a customer with State Farm and Greg Meyer for many years. Her son totaled her car Dec.12th, she had gotten notice in Jan. Due to her stroke in August, I helped her get the title to her car and we took it into the Round Rock office Jan. 23, 2024. We were told it would take a week to get her check for her Lexus 2016 car. When it was over a week, we started to call and they were checking with the adjuster each time and would call her back. Never happened. I gave them my phone number to call when the check got to their office as sister can't drive (no car and because of stroke). Never happened. Finally, they had a call with sister, Greg Meyer's office clerk and the adjuster on Feb.16th, telling her the check would be in the office Feb.20th. We drove to the office after waiting 2 hours for a return call to be sure the check was there. They never returned the call and the check wasn't there when we got to the office. Was told when the check got to the office Tuesday (they thought it didn't come USPS due to President's Day holiday on Feb.20th) that Greg Meyer would drop the check off at her apartment. NEVER HAPPENED. Feb.22, sister got a call the check was at the office. I did get a person to answer the phone when I called to verify the check was there before driving to the office again. I live about 10 miles from sister and have a different State Farm agent (Jeff Coleman in Pflugerville) for at least 25 years now and never had lack of service like this. I've been a customer since before I can remember, largely by default: when I bought my first car at the age of 15, my mom used Greg Meyer so I just went with whatever she had. Now, 11 years later, I can still say I have NEVER had a bad experience with them! Every single time I call, whoever answers the phone has been so polite, friendly, and prompt. They call me back when they say they will, they email me back in a timely manner, they take care of things like sending declaration pages to my bank, etc. I seriously want to send these people cookies at Christmas every year! They have made dealing with my auto, home, and personal article insurance policies a breeze! They offer reasonable rates that fit in my budget. We just dropped my husband's Nation Wide insurance plan, where he'd been since before we got married, to switch him to State Farm because it saved us $75/month! This agency took advantage of my dad for YEARS and he still was loyal to them! Why? I have no clue because not only did they not reciprocate that loyalty, they try to get as much money as possible from their clients. Finally after over a decade of getting screwed over financially by these people I finally called around and realized how BAD he was getting screwed! I've been a State Farm insurance holder since i could drive a car, which is '96. My mother was with State farm for years before that and since then we were State Farm customers. Sometime in 2009, I think, Greg Myer took over the company and our previous Agent moved on. Before this time I had two speeding tickets, all taken care of, and one accident which was no fault of my own. In 2010 I was rear ended by a drunk driver, no real damage (bumper pushed a quarter of an inch in and minor scratches). When I needed assistance I got very little. The drunk driver was arrested, but didn't have insurance and my insurance agent was nowhere to be found. I called several times and the only thing I got was, we'll let you know when we hear anything more about the driver. About two years later I received a check from the Travis County Courts, never a word from my insurance company. In 2013 Austin had floods in Onion Creek and some parts of South Austin, my car was affected by the floods which were not covered by my insurance, but again no one offered information about what to do for the damage or any options I had at that moment. I recently switched my car insurance to Esurance, because I found that I could get the same coverage and cut my rate in half (exactly half). I kept my renters insurance because it beat other competitors by $2. A few months passed and I hadn't received any sort of information, no paper bills, no emails, nothing. I assumed somehow that I had discontinued my insurance coverage all together. I decided to look into it and applied for renters insurance with an agent in Austin. I figured it would be better than continuing with an Agent I didn't like anyhow. Two days later I received a call from Greg Myers State Farm (not actually Greg Myers, keep in mind I've never actually spoken to Greg Myers - my own agent has never spoken to me). They informed me that I had an existing account and that they had taken the liberty of discontinuing my request to purchase insurance with the Austin agent. They told me that if I continued with another agent I'd loose my "longevity" discount (something to this effect). I then, 4 weeks later, needed to change my address, because I'm moving. I made this request online - on my computer after logging in to my account. This change of address is time sensitive because I need to show proof of insurance to the apartment complex before move-in. Two days later I received any email (not a phone call) asking if this change of request was legitimate. I responded yes, and that change of address request was time sensitive. That was 3 weekdays ago and the change of address has yet to be updated. Greg Myers State Farm is possibly the worst neighbor I've ever had. I never hear from them unless they want me to sign up for boat insurance (I don't own a boat), when I need them they're too busy or don't have information for me. They don't offer the best rates and they won't take initiative to keep the customers they do have. As soon as this move is done, so is my history with State Farm. read more

This agency really deserves no stars; however, this is not an option on Yelp. I spoke with Chris (male) on 6/8/2016 to cancel my auto insurance effective 6/8/2016. They committed fraud on the elderly by continuing to withdraw money 6/17/2016 of $91.71. Further more they sent a cancellation notice with an incorrect effective date of 6/15/2016. Two problems: 1) wrong effective date 2) withdrew money illegally even after the cancellation date on notice. I have yet to get my money back as of 7/1/2016 and will be filing complaints with TDI and the BBB. I would never use this agency again since they take advantage of the elderly. B.Morris read more
