I "fired" Geico after more than 25 years with them! They started out being very personable and helpful. But by the end, they grew very impersonable/corporate cold and clearly instituted a business model to make the claims process as unpleasant and even hostile as possible, as to discourage claims. I wanted to go back to what I enjoyed before, and Greg and his team at State Farm are just that: Personable, friendly ... You get a "real human" on the phone quickly here, with affordable coverage. (Anytime you call Geico now, you get an endless phone maze and inevitably end up with the wrong division/office.) Greg himself personally stepped in to ensure my son gets coverage on his new car on the day before Christmas break, going above and beyond ... You really can't get that kind of service with the other insurers these days. read more

I could not agree more. Greg and his staff are so very easy to talk with, a rare trait these days in any business office. They know their stuff and will readily find an answer if they do not have the data, policy, or procedure at hand. I had an issue with my car that I honestly did not think my insurance would cover. Greg answered the phone and turned my reluctance to action by encouraging me to file a claim. Neither of us was sure how the claim would be handled but it was accepted and covered. I've been with State Farm for the shorter part of a year, and I have nothing but good things to say. Anytime I have a question or need to make an adjustment to my policy, everyone in the office is very helpful and very quick to take care of me. I've been helped by everyone in the office, everyone is very professional, very happy, and very willing to help you to the best of their ability. One time, I was adding a car to my policy and if I remember correctly.... Greg was continuing to help me over the phone well after their office had closed. Not once during the whole experience did I feel like he was rushing me, or annoyed by all my questions. Great customer service is a thing of the past in my opinion. So many companies talk about how much they care and value their customers but I don't see it at all UNLESS you are talking about State Farm. I have been a loyal State Farm policyholder for thirty years and can honestly say that during that time I have never been let down, disappointed or upset with them over anything. They back up their promises with actions. Their words mean something which is very rare these days. The staff is always friendly, helpful and professional. i haven't had state farm insurance through greg hutton since early 2018, so you may wonder why i'm writing this review now, three years later. i had honestly forgotten all about this until i just noticed greg's face on a magnet on the side of my fridge. i had an accident. i was driving on a very narrow road with cars lining each side of the street, so narrow that only one car could pass at once. it was dark. i came upon a car parked in the street by a delivery driver, which had NO lights on, leading me to not see the car until i was very close to it. i tried to swerve around it but it was too late, and i clipped the left rear bumper. we exchange info, delivery driver calls state farm, blah blah. a week or so passed, and i still had not been contacted by state farm to take my statement about what had occurred. i called them, and come to find out that they had already closed the claim and proclaimed me at fault. the delivery driver lied to state farm and told them that i backed into his car. state farm never contacted me to validate any of this, nor even look at my car to see that i had some minor damage on the front right bumper, which would obviously contradict the delivery driver's story. i then called greg and told him what was going on, and he offered no assistance, couldn't have cared less and essentially told me to go f*ck myself (he didn't say those words, but you know what i mean. gotta make sure i don't get nailed for libel!) i promptly cancelled my policy and forgot all about greg's shitty customer service until i just saw his face on my fridge (well, now it's in the trash.) read more
