Absolutely terrible experience. I hired Chris Greenwood to fix a P0172 code. He insisted -- with complete confidence -- that the fuel pump was "100% bad." I trusted him, paid for the diagnosis and the parts upfront, and he came back the next day to install the pump. Before he even finished, he realized the pressure‑sensor connector on the new pump didn't fit. He temporarily reused the old pressure sensor just to get the job "done for now," and told me he'd return the next day with the correct part and said I could use the car in the mean time. He also claimed the check‑engine light was off because the issue was fixed, when in reality he had simply cleared the code.
The next day the light came back AND the car suddenly became hard to start, taking multiple attempts to turn over the engine every time I drove the car. So now I had two problems: the original P0172 and a new starting issue caused by the new fuel pump he installed that I never needed in the first place.
I ended up diagnosing the real issue for the p0172 myself -- a crack in the exhaust manifold. A $10 JB Weld application fixed the P0172 instantly. Meanwhile, I had paid for a fuel pump I never needed, and the one he installed was already failing.
Trying to get him to come back was a nightmare. Over five weeks, he made five different appointments and didn't show up once. When I finally told him I needed my car running and would have to take it elsewhere, he responded with attitude, saying he works on his own schedule, not to send him the bill if I go elsewhere, and basically dismissing the fact that I had already waited more than a month for him to finish the job.
I had to pay another shop to fix the pump That I never needed in the first place. I lost thousands of dollars and six weeks without a working car because of his incorrect diagnosis, poor workmanship, and unprofessional behavior. Avoid him at all costs. read more
