It's a super cute store with lots of varieties, and the plants all looked quite healthy. I do think it's a little overpriced -- granted, I'm not sure what the Rochester plant market is like, but I figured it would be less expensive than Chicago, but everything was a $2-$8 more than the local plant nurseries I frequent in Chicago and the suburbs. But, the store is very cute and has lots of cute plant accessories. I'm kicking myself for not getting the cute leopard plant pot I saw. I love the atmosphere of the place, though. Lots of seating and tables set up for those who visit the cafe, and there's lot to look at if you just want to walk around a bit.

Delightful Experience for a Sad Occasion…read more Jessica at Flowers by Jerry was phenomenal to work with. After just a short conversation she was able to understand my budget, vision and goals and made me feel good throughout the process. She had some suggestions to make it even better as well. Her thoughtful attention to details, knowledge, kindness and follow through made this a wonderful experience. She even sent a photo of the arrangement to me since I asked. I could not be more thrilled at the flowers, service, value and delivery. Flowers by Jerry will be my florist moving forward.

All the hanging baskets were perfectly groomed and giant. In addition, all the annuals were also BOGO. I always feel called to support small businesses and felt the creativity from the exterior mural to the floral arrangements outside. The interior offers boutique items such as dresses, sleep wear, body products, cards, chocolate and even some small furniture. I felt the pricing was fair and the cashier and I shared the same name, Tiffany. The cherry on top was that my grandfather who recently passed away is named Jerry so the stars were aligned on this visit. Thank you, Flowers by Jerry!

I think if I had a shop like this in my area, I would probably more seriously consider taking up quilting! The shop is laid out in a pleasing way, with a good variety of fabrics and many beautiful samples of quilts hanging on the walls and also smaller samples at eye level near the fabrics. They had a bunch of books and patterns to peruse (including some regular sewing patterns for like little bags and things), and most impressively, there were banks of quilting machines that I am guessing may be used by the shop customers, including a couple of really large quilting machines! There were customers using the big machines while I was there, which was really cool. The shop ladies seemed really nice as well, and thankfully not hover-y. I will definitely try to stop by again next time I'm in Rochester! Hopefully I will have some projects in mind that I don't yet have a fabric for by then.

My adult son and I pickled out a couple items that I thought I wanted to purchase for our friends that helped us with writing my husband's Caring-bridge . I made an effort to return 2 days later before my husband was discharged from St. Mary's and I went in to purchase an item and have it wrapped and the sales person said she was alone and she would not be able to wrap it for me. I understand. She maybe could have asked if I could come back in a bit? I said that I understood but could she maybe put the wrap in the bag so I could wrap the gift my self and she said "no" we have a certain standard to our wrapping. "Ok." I said. I did not then need the item. We drove home from our Mayo visit and I bought the item on line and wrapped it myself last night. I would have preferred to have purchased it there at the store and have had a nice experience..
