We were loving the pastoral scenic farmland on the way to Aragon Alpacas, and found it easily. Ann was an amazing hostess, she answered so many of our questions about alpacas, let us feed them carrots, we discovered some great clothing items, socks, vests, sweaters, mittens, scarves, all made from the amazing alpaca fleece. It was so much fun. The alpacas are amazing - they were mesmerized (by us, or our dog? Our dog.) They reminded me of meerkats, all standing, seemingly at alert because of their long necks, looking in the same direction, all swiveling their heads in unison. Each alpaca has a unique, fantastical, exotic or literary in origin name... eg. Bubinga (African rosewood, which he in fact resembles, and his mother has a south African name), Gryffin (a la Gryffindor, he is red with a white flash)... You really must meet them. They're fascinating. My wife now wants an alpaca farm ("We'll never have to kill them!")

I took my kids for a visit to frog pond farm. They have a plethora of animals for you to visit…read more You can buy feed cups for $5 at the admissions office. Their fall festival, including the pumpkin patch, was not running yet and I felt some of the farm was a little limited because of that. They ran out of apple cider donuts for purchase and parts of the farm had a closed sign on it. That being said, there was still plenty of animals to visit, including two camels!, bounce houses for kids, outdoor games, and general farm vibes. Next time I would pack a picnic lunch as the only options available were lemonade and donuts until they were sold out on site. Staff was friendly and the animals looked well cared for. Perfect spot for a weekend farm day activity. I was surprised how much fun my kids had and look forward to visiting again when I can walk more of the farm.

After a quick Yelp search, we found Trisklee Farm and I'm so glad that we did. I messaged the Yelp business page and Nikki (who is super responsive, BTW) set me up with a reservation promptly. When we arrived for our scheduled tour, Nikki and a couple others (her family members?) were chit chatting in the front and directed us to where we could park. Once we parked, we were welcomed into one of their beautiful barns to check in. The barn was incredible and would be an ideal venue for a wedding reception or big party. Visitors can purchase wine or beer before the tour and to no surprise - we did. Nikki started off the tour by telling us "the story" about how her and her family came together to running a farm. We were able to visit with baby goats, alpacas, ostriches, horses, chickens, pigs, and so many more friends! Nikki was a fantastic tour guide and provided so much insight and knowledge about how to properly care for all the animals on her farm. This is a perfect stop for anyone or any occasion-- groups, families with young children, a date, birthdays, anniversaries -- something special to see or do for everyone at any age. At the end of the tour, we even purchased some of their homemade Lavender Goat Milk Cream and Soap. We absolutely loved our experience from beginning to end and would highly recommend Triskelee Farm to all.

Their tour was running late- by late I mean 40 minutes... so we had to shuffle things around party wise. The tour consists I of seeing the animals. Didn't realize that the Ostrich were there for lol meat purposes. During the tour kiddos got to feed them. They have a few different areas to roam, with some tables. It's a decent sized place. I think it could use some TLC though.

One section has the female alpacas and males are in a different outside area. The female alpacas we tried to feed were not as interested in us so we tried our luck with the males. The three males at the feeding area welcomed the food. One of them would try to eat out of our hand when one of their buddies is already eating. I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind having spit on. My husband got some spit splatter on his jacket when we were trying to feed one of the female alpacas. There is a wide selection of items in the gift shop and we left with a stuffed animal that looks just like the voracious eater we met at this ranch. Come have some fun with the alpacas!

They had loganberries, raspberries, and strawberries while I was there. $15 for 6 cartons is an good deal and they have a punch card: after you purchase 10 six-packs you get one free! Not organic, but USDA GAP Certified. More information about that on their website. Looks like they frequent multiple farmer's markets around the state and will be at the Oregon Berry Festival this year. The woman who helped me at the booth was so nice. Glad to support this wonderful, local business!
