History
Established in 2006.
Have you ever hired a contractor who started your job but then was only seldom and randomly at the job site, leaving you with workers you don't know (and aren't sure you want to know). Greenman Carpentry's carpenter/ owner, Mark Heany, is on site from start to finish performing all tasks with a small crew and a few sub contractors (when a license is required to perform a specific job; ex: electrical, plumbing & HVAC).
Mark got his start in carpentry when he was 15 working as a helper for a carpenter in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl on weekends and summer breaks. While attending college he waited tables and bar tended to make money and took on light construction as a hobby - building decks and other projects for friends. After college he traveled to Block Island, RI where he became fascinated with the architecture found in the northeast region of the States. He waited tables at night and worked on restoring these old homes during the day. He spent some time in Berkely, California working for
Meet the Business Owner: Mark H.
Mark has a culture rich background as he was born to missionaries in Kowloon, Hong Kong and was able to travel to and live in many different places before graduating high school -- Japan, Phillipines, Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Bolivia, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and trans USA trips every summer.
The college years were spent bouncing from one major to another (aero space engineering, aviation management, psychology, anthropology, international economics) and transferring schools while working part time as a waiter and playing two man beach volleyball and training in martial arts.
His post college years were spent working and traveling across the country and the Carribbean until settling down in Cape May, NJ with his son, daughter and wife who owns Balance -- a Pilates, yoga and massage studio in West Cape May.
