I have lived at Colony Village for just a few months now, and overall it has been a pleasant…read moreexperience. They offer great prices for new apartment homes. So far my utilities have not cost me much as well because of the great insulation in the apartments. My electricity bill has just been around $60 a month for a 2 bedroom and about $35 for water & sewage. There is a very nice pool, a fitness center, and yoga room. Here are some of the down sides... I chose to live at Colony Village because the price was great for the newly designed apartments and included internet and cable. For the free basic package you get maybe 25 channels, which does not include ESPN or ESPN2 for you sports fans. The upgrade is $30 a month, which isn't terrible, just didn't realize the "included" part wasn't really that much. Telecom is the cable & internet service and just to be honest, they are the absolute worst to deal with. Every night around 8 pm several of my channels go out so your tv options are even more limited. The wifi isn't that bad, when it works. For me, the internet has stopped working every Saturday & I have to wait until Monday morning to call Telecom to get them to reset it so I have internet again. It is $15 a month to upgrade your internet, but not sure that means it will actually work any better. As far as it being a "gated community" this is not entirely true. There is a gate on the right side of the property that remains open at all times. Apparently they lost a battle with the school districts that made that the bus stop for any kids living in the apartments and even though it is now summer, and I've never seen a bus there, it is still open 24/7. Also, staff is not very easy to get in touch with. I have never been able to get in touch with anyone in the office in less than 5 phone calls. Emails? Forget about it. It's going to take at least 4 days to get a reply, and that's if they decide to reply at all. Your best bet is to stop in to talk to someone. But most of the time it appears I am just annoying whoever is working with my questions. Overall, yes I've had cable & internet problems with Telecom, and the staff isn't always the easiest to get in touch with... BUT the apartments are very nice, it is always quiet, and is located close to plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping areas. And all the residents I have met have been super friendly. Just depends on what your priorities are!

If I could rate this place negative 100 stars I would. stay clear. Management is HORRIBLE they…read moredon't care about your or your needs. I will not be renewing my lease. This complex used to be the place everyone wanted to live and was a luxe apartment complex now it has gone completely down hill. Packages het stolen, things don't get fixed properly, and management is a revolving door.
