He indicated that they could cut the trees for free, but would not do any of the clean up. As I had previously received a quote from another tree company that used a crane, I knew that it would cost approximately $10,000 to cut the very old, and very tall trees near my home. Despite the review made by Samantha above, I decided to give Varney & Sons a chance. I could not be more impressed with their services. They called in advance and let me know when they would be coming to cut the trees, they cut the trees and left the clean up. The clean up was actually pretty easy as my friends, family and neighbors pitched in to help. I no longer have to worry about those trees hitting my house. I am thankful for the work Varney & Sons Logging did. They did an amazing job. I have recommended them to several of my neighbors and friends. Very professional, great service and very up front with everything. I honestly do not agree with anything in Samantha's review. Everything that Varney & Sons did for my property was quite the opposite of what she explains. It is a sad world that we live in when we have to write untruthful reviews on the internet. It's one thing if it really happened, but another to make up information. Her slanderous remarks are appalling, to say the least. He came and gave me an estimate then showed up and cut one of the 6 trees he was supposed to cut and remove. He only completed one and said he would be back for the others and asked for a check for $1,000. I gave it to him in good faith he would return.....every week I would call and was given different excuses and pushed off to the next week. Finally he was to come on Tuesday 7/18 he "said" he came by and it was too wet....I was there and he didn't come by....I phoned him that afternoon and he said it was wet and that he will come next week!!!! I had other companies lined up for work that weekend and Bob said to get someone else he would be out of town and couldn't do it till the following week! Ridiculous that he strung me along for 4 weeks when he was posting jobs he completed on Facebook!!! I just called him and told him not to come next week cause the trees are down, I hired someone else and asked for $400 refund....he said NO and hung up on me!!!
