Reconstruction is nearly finished and new stores are opening now. I was hoping one small common indoor area would be retained for community events as that was one of Cheltenham Mall's strong points. While the I like the Shopping Center there is a store at the main entrance, first floor that sells…read moremandoo. He has a great product but he opens and closes whenever he feels like it. His regular closed day is Tuesday, but have been there Wed at 11:30, Sat at 11 and he was closed. If I lived nearby it would be no big deal but I don't. He should have a sign on the door with his regular hours - AND STICK TO THEM. It is a basic axiom of retail to let your customers know when to come. This guy just don't get it. Other stores in the center have no hours posted and have odd schedules I e. not conforming to typical retail. If you Google the center it says everyday 10-8, but few of the stores follow that schedule. So shopping there is a hit or miss.

Target is one of my favorite store. I usually do curbside and pick up my order, today I decided to…read moreshop in store. The store was very clean, well stocked and organized. They had some products locked in cases which was aggravating because we had search high and low for an employee to retrieve the items we needed. Only one employee had the key we were told. Also the checkout was horrible. You can only do self checkout and there one only one cashier available. They only had one line for both. I believed that slowed up the process. Otherwise I would still shop at target, but I think I would continue to do curbside.

There are NEVER any cashiers working (or anyone working, for that matter) so the only option is self-checkout, which wouldn't be that big of an issue if they were all functioning properly, but there's only ever 2 of them working at a time so the line's always awful. Then *every single thing* is behind glass (I understand for certain medications/tech, but deodorant? Shaving cream?), with "call help" buttons/sensors that don't work (probably on purpose judging by the common theme and attitudes). And if you're *sooo worried* about shoplifting, then why the hell does this Target only carry the most expensive stock??? I can't even get a basic floor lamp here for under $80, and I have to go all the way up to the metroplex or the 24hr Target in Bala Cynwood for a basic $10 one. Oh, and most stuff they won't even put out and you can't get it unless you order online. And no, not even the expensive things like I just mentioned, but the most BASIC things like snacks. I'm never stepping foot in here again and honestly you likely won't catch me dead in a Target AT ALL now.
