I spoke to Wendell on the service desk. Very friendly and helpful when I described our issue. He was calm, knowledgeable and very accommodating when I explained our traveling schedule. AND, we were very happy & surprised to get in within 2 weeks. July 12th @ 9:00 am. My Coach Mfg said they couldn't get me in until Dec. . They even said they would let us dry Camp the night before if we needed to. We didn't need to...but nice to have options. Upon arriving @ 8:40, besides the broken window, Wendell went over our short list of added items that needed attention. Told Wendell, we would wait in the lobby. (BTW.. Music was a bit tooooo loud). Appt at 9:00, by 9:10... we watched our Coach go into the service bay. By 10:30... we were done, .... window replaced, cabinet hinge fixed, coolant checked..... we were paid up and driving out. Amazing service time. Allowing us to continue exploring Charlotte, NC. Highly recommended if you should need work on your RV !!

Being that the RV we purchased was gently used and only a few years old, there were a couple items we had concerns about before taking delivery. One items was left undone in the 2-3 weeks between our signing the contract and taking delivery. We were promised a tear in the driver's upholstery would be fixed/mended, they'd send their guy out to our house (2 1/2 hours away) to do the fix. We took delivery at the end of July and it still hasn't happened. It has taken more than 2 months to get a license plate (I still don't have it), 3 sets of temp tags to bridge that gap. I was hoping to take a class on how to winterize my RV or even get them to do it, but I'm starting to second guess this thought process. It's a nice Class A RV, in great shape, with a LOT of bells and whistles for the right price. I'm just getting concerned about the lack of follow up or service after the sale.

So we did and he showed us around. First, three Class B vans. These were all built on the Ram Promaster base and started at $70,000 (marked down massively from the sticker price) to over $120,000. Not a huge selection in our price range but they're nice vans even if they didn't fit my needs. While we were here, let's take a look at some of the travel trailers. Matt was again helpful, getting the gold cart and bringing us to what we wanted to see. The basic and the "one better than the basic". Both are nice and interesting and while it was the nice shiny object, it was great. Once we got into our car to head home, we realized that a travel trailer just won't work. There's no stealth and you can't park it anywhere. Especially not in my driveway or my Dad's driveway. HOA covenants and all that. We mentioned the atrocious Yelp reviews to Matt. He thinks they're fake or created by competitors. "We really don't take any notice of it. It's just a website for complaints." In the end, we didn't make a purchase from Carolina Coach. Minor complaints... new battery cable routing made it difficult to check battery fluid levels on two batteries ( I made adjustments and had enough battery cable for the adjustments). Also, is battery fluid topped off at battery installation? All plates are covered but I would bet my battery filler would add water to all batteries. I have dealt with 4 golf cart service shops, this is the only shop I will do business with in the future.

The owner came over and answered our questions and gave me the keys to the carts and invited us to just take our time and drive them around.
