My girls love Dr. Wheatley and Andie although they don't always show it. Greenbrier is the best!

I chose to try Greenbrier Veterinary services because they are advertised on my Christian radio station WAFJ 88.3 and support it, as well. They were able to get my injured greyhound in within an hour, or so, of calling them. The vet, her techs and the office gals are easy to communicate with and listen carefully to all of my concerns. Y animals They are very organized and are appropriately conscientious amid this Covid situation. Ample parking, well maintained outer grounds and fresh, clean and spacious waiting room. Their new location is very impressive! It's a bit of a drive for me, coming from Hephzibah, but so far, I really like them and feel confident in the care they are providing to my pets. read more

After a scare with our six month old puppy that she may have issues with her liver, a friend referred me here for a second opinion. I debated initially because of spending more money on the same tests to make sure nothing was wrong, but my goodness am I happy I did that. A second set of blood work came in with nothing to be concerned about and Dr. Wheatley made sure to go over every single detail and made sure that I felt comfortable with what I was looking at. I ended up not wanting to switch back to my original vet because of how friendly and professional not just Dr. Wheatley is, but everyone that works in the office is, as well. They took extra precautions when I took her in a few weeks later to get her spayed and called to let me know how she was and I really appreciated it. When I came back in this morning to pick her up after getting spayed, the lady sat and went over everything, let me know how she did (good and bad stuff!) and just talked for a good five-ten minutes. Every experience I've had so far has been more than pleasant and I'm thinking about switching my older dog to come see them, as well. One final positive note, they sent a handwritten postcard and that sealed the deal for me. It's the small things that make me appreciate businesses and feel valued as a customer and pet owner. read more

I would caution anyone to do their due diligence and judge this office for themselves. The office staff on the phone and checking in, is courteous and kind. The assistant for the appointment that came in the room first was wonderful and I have no complaints there. My issue resides with the vet that I saw. She was very nice and easy to talk to but she totally blindsided me with thinking there could be a major health concern for a puppy that I brought to them, to establish care, that I had just purchased 3 days prior. All of the joy and excitement I felt for the puppy was dashed when the vet, Dr. Wade (according to my paperwork), came in and did her exam. All was well until she mentioned that there could be an issue with my puppies' hips or knees. I asked what treatments were available for each condition and surgery was mentioned as the option for either, one more expensive than the other. Honestly, I was blindsided by this and didn't know what to think. The rest of the exam seemed fine but the hip and knee issues mentioned had me worried. We had just gotten the puppy and I was excited and had a great weekend with him, the breeder gave a clean bill of health and the vet that checked him a week before we picked him up had no issues to report. There was advice given to contact the breeder and make them aware as well as getting pet insurance to offset the costs that would be incurred. No X-ray was taken to diagnose anything. When we called to ask about an X-ray and when the vet would want to take one, the girl on the phone called back and just said that the vet wanted to take one and when we asked if they wanted to do it sooner rather than later, she said that she didn't ask that so we had to wait for another call back. The second call back, we were told the vet wanted an X-ray sooner so we were told to come by in two days. The day prior to the X-ray appointment, my husband called to inquire about the price and before getting off the phone asked to confirm the appointment for the next morning and the girl said oh no we have you down for an appointment in 3 weeks. Of course my husband reminded her that she spoke with him the day before and she said she forgot about that, we told them we would no longer require their services after that. I did my own research into each condition and the hip condition is typically seen in larger dogs, mine is a small breed. The knee condition is common in small breeds but has different grades, the worst of which is the only one that requires surgery. I feel like maybe this office is profit driven. 7/16/2021 My husband and I decided to change to Greenbrier vet svcs. after using previous vet for 30 years. Other vet has become too commercial and impersonal. Greenbrier takes the time to examine your pet in a calm manner and your pet notices. Out cat was so calm and didn't growl as he usually does during examination. Facility is beautiful and clean. Prices are reasonable, much lower than we anticipated. Dr. Wheatley and staff are great! Our 2 dogs will also be going soon. They're going to love this top notch facility and calm environment. read more

We are so thankful that we were recommended to Dr. Wheatley's clinic. I honestly can not say enough great things of her and her exceptional team. She has gone above and beyond in caring for one of our senior dogs. She is such an honest, compassionate, and thorough doctor and we truly feel blessed to have her caring for one of our treasured family members. Her entire staff is wonderful, excellent customer service, clean clinic, and just an overall great environment. I am extremely pleased with the service provided on 10/09/14 by Greenbriar Veterinary. I scheduled a home service call for my 6 cats Merlin, Maggie, Salem, Gwinny, Salem L and Sabrina plus my small Chihuahua Service Dog Hobbie. The doctor and her assistant arrived exactly on time, with a scale and portable computer/printer in two for accurate and immediate record keeping. Each animal was weighed, briefly examined and then given their vaccinations so carefully that not even the four geriatric cats (ranging from 12-15) batted a whisker. My oldest cat Salem is 15 and needed a more thorough exam and blood drawn, and the doctor did this so skillfully that he did not even struggle or flinch while her assistant held and comforted him. Even my Chihuahua, who is usually very sensitive didn't mind her injections. Afterwards, we all sat around the living room while the vet tech established electronic records and Rabies certificates for my seven animals. My huge Ragdoll cats were completely enthralled with the portable printer and my dog had a ball hopping around where they were sitting on the floor playing with them, and patiently answering my questions. I cannot say enough about the entire experience. It is a godsend that this practice makes house calls, not only for people like me with a lot of animals but for many others, especially the elderly, shut-ins, busy parents of small children and anyone who simply wants a calmer, less stressful experience for their pets and/or themselves. They also have an office in the river wood shopping center in Evans, which is only 12 miles down the road for me. Prices were extremely reasonable which also makes for less stress on the monthly budget. I would not hesitate to use their services again and cannot recommend them highly enough. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET!!!!!!!! Two weeks ago today, Dr. Tiffany Grant at Greenbrier performed surgery on my 18 month old puppy and within a week he was dead. I was told by the owner, Dr. Ashley Wheatley, that they would do right by me but anytime I try to contact them I am told to speak with their attorney. They know they killed my dog and just want me to walk away. My family suffered a devastating loss because of her egregious negligence to take care of my baby. read more

I took all three of my dogs here a couple months ago and let's just say they were all very uncooperative and suddenly super hyper. The vet was very patient and used a bunch of very clever tricks to keep them distracted so she could give them all their shots. She was very attentive to any questions or concerns I had. I look forward to bringing my dog goes back here again, hopefully, a little better behaved next time. read more

The good: they don't try to up-charge you. The bad: service isn't good. They don't stick to their posted hours. One example is that they closed for a week during Masters but they didn't change their answering service to reflect that info so when I called, I received the standard greeting of "the office is currently closed", but it didn't indicate that they'd be closed all week. They also won't respond to any online requests for prescriptions. I tried to order heart worm medicine online but Greenbrier won't provide the website with the necessary info to fill the Rx. In the 20+ years of owning dogs, I've never had a vet refuse to do that. I was able to pick up the prescription and then scan it to the website---I'm not sure why Greenbrier refused to assist in the process. read more

Since this will probably not make the Google Reviews on Greenbrier Veterinary Services Our small dog received her vaccinations on Friday June 26th ($145.00). She then became ill over the weekend. We took her back on Monday June 29th (fever, lethargic and no appetite) ($70). We were told during our visit that it wasn't any reaction to the vaccinations so they gave us a prescription for her fever and pain. However, they did say that they were going to put in her record for next year to give her the vaccines on different days. Fast forward to today 7/2 and we call them back saying she isnt feeling any better. The immediate response now is she is having a direct reaction to the vaccines so after another $40 we apparently have the right treatment. In reflection they now say that next time we will need to stagger the vaccinations ...unfortunately there will never be a next time. I understand that vaccinations are an uncertain thing when it comes to how an animal reacts.....the piece I am not ok with is to admit from the beginning that she was having a possible reaction to it and treat her accordingly. As a result of this we have spent entirely too much money for your negligence......and if it doesn't get worse 3.00 for the pill launcher because you sent her home without one to a dog who has zero appetite.....how did you think she was going to take the pill. Tye saddest part of this is that a 7 pound baby is paying the consequences of your negligence! Lesson learned........should have gone to Caremore and Dr. Gross. read more

We have been using Greenbrier Veterinary Services for approximately 2 years. We first contacted the clinic because Dr. Wheatley makes house calls. We had a senior cat (Honey) with a tumor that unfortunately the time came and we had to put her to sleep. Dr. Wheatley was so caring and gentle and having it done at home was much less stressful for us and Honey. Everyone is always super friendly and courteous in the clinic. I took our 12 year old Golden, Luci for her yearly checkup this week. The receptionist was very welcoming and Carrie the technician assistant was great she asked questions and listened to everything I had to say. I've been to a lot of different veterinarians with a lot of different pets in my life, and this is most certainly the best care, attention, and service I have ever received - this has held true on a consistent basis over multiple visits, not just a one-off expereince. The doctor and her staff are just wonderful - friendly, informative, responsive to questions/concerns, and great with the pets. I love Greenbrier Vets because both my girls do (my kitty girls that is). We have moved many times in the last 17 years (the age of my oldest and most needy one) and never has she been so relaxed at a vets office. Dr. Wheatly and her staff are very caring and take the time to answer any and all questions you may need. And as an added plus, they do house calls for a very reasonable rate. Best vet clinic I've been to so far, the staff was super sweet and helpful. They did everything they could to help our two babies (can be very challenging around other animals). You can even order through medication through them and they accept CareCredit cards. They are not overpriced. read more

My cat absolutely hated the previous vet I took him to, he always refused to get out of his crate and struggled to get away from the staff. Here, no such problem! I'm new to this area and found this vet through yelp. I took my 2 cats in for a wellness exam. The woman who I spoke with was very nice and I was able to be seen that afternoon. They advised to arrive 15 mins prior to appt time for paperwork. I did and was seen promptly at my appt time. The technician, Crystal, and the vet, Dr. Wheatley were great with my boys. They answered all my questions. I will definitely visit again. read more

My little dog was pretty sick his leg has been hurting him and I called and they fit him in the same day which was today. . They were so sweet. As I was in there my sugar dropped and I had to go get a soda or candy and they gladly watched him while I went to Publix to get me a soda. The care given by the veterinarian was wonderful she examined him and told me right away what it was and gave him medication I will certainly go back to this clinic everyone there was so kind and very caring. I got a new puppy and took him to this vet because this is where my parents have taken their dogs. We noticed the puppy had blood in his stool so took him in the day we got him. The vet ran a parvo test and told us it came back positive. The vet told us he would start throwing up soon and that we had bought a "dud puppy". The lady we bought him from allowed us to return him because she was willing to pay for his treatment. She took him to her vet the next day where her vet ran another test which came negative. We have checked in on the puppy who is perfectly healthy and went to another home. We even called this vet back and asked if it could have been a false positive and she said no. I will not be taking my animals here again and neither will my parents. read more
