Cypress Pointe has nursing home and a memory unit as part of its complex; which was a big factor for me in deciding to place my Dad here. As my Dads health progression continues, he can transfer within the complex with minimum trauma. Great progress is being made here to increase my Dads social life with the staff and other residents. Lots of activities are available for him to engage in. A favorite is the Friday evening happy hour for residents, staff and family.

In less than 48 hours my mother was taken, by ambulance, to the ER for shortness of breath. I stopped by one week later to give them an update to find her room cleaned out & her belongings boxed up! We never rec'd written notice or a phone call re: "bed hold", which I am only now familiar with. Now the staff & administration are lying trying to cover their tracks because they did not adhere to the state standards and requirements. The food, when delivered to her room, was ice cold, inedible. The evening aide turned the a/c, in her room, to 62 both nights. That was the care she got overnight. I do not recommend Cypress to care for your loved ones.

Appears to be extremely safe and in a good environment. Largely, the staff here at Maple Gardens is very kind and attentive to our needs this residence.. the nursing staff seems very qualified, and the aids seem very attentive. if I could say anything good about maple gardens, it would be a wonderful staff that interacts with patients. The activities offered to the residence are pretty typical for any nursing home. They have very kind workers in this area. Love them! They are always willing to try new things and listen to the residence request. The activities Director and staff are extremely kind and useful. They care for long-term or short term residence. They cover a gambit of abilities, leaving no one out. The food here is average. It would be what I would consider standard for any nursing home. Unfortunately, many of my trays have been cold. The kitchen supervisor is very attentive, and remembers many of our needs for dietary. She even takes time to talk to the residence monthly to see how things could be better. I've never yet had the opportunity to meet any of the ownership, and the verdict still out on the New nursing home Director. One time meeting with her I was assured that they were not interested in doing any updates on this dreary, underserved building or carpets. The rooms and common areas are so rundown, you often get the feeling that it's unclean. It does not look like it's going to get better anytime soon. The cleanliness of the facility lacks somewhat. Only certain areas are cleaned in certain times, when they are meant to be cleaned daily. Rooms are often cluttered and bathrooms are shared between four patients. Shower rooms need some updating and improvement in fixtures and cleanliness. In closing, I would say this nursing home would meet the needs of an average person who is not too particular. They can expect to be treated well by staff, but the cleanliness and dreary facility needs work.

Troy received me to help me with my therapy, he is very patient, knowledge, ask questions to understand my treatment, showed me few exercise to strengthen my muscle around my knee. Used a machine to give me some needle stimulation which is interesting as well as the cold area around my knee. I wish they could bill me for the copay next time.
