Be aware: Greenbrier does not have labor warranty, which allows them to stretch out repairs and charge hundreds of dollars each time you go back to have something fixed that they should have fixed the first time. Many auto repair shops do have 30 day or even one year labor warranties. Find those auto repair shops and don't go with Greenbrier.
Background:
My dad went to get the a/c fixed on our 2010 Ford Edge on September 2, 2021 and paid $1,138.38 to get a new compressor and valves. The a/c still wasn't working after that and he had to pay another $626.54 for an a/c condenser. Since the weather had cooled by end of September, my dad really didn't have to use the a/c that much and so he thought the problem was solved.
When the weather starts heating up in May 2022, we realize the a/c isn't working again. Greenbrier says the problem is the new a/c compressor they installed in September 2021 that they got from Autozone is not working. The a/c compressor is covered under parts warranty but not labor warranty. We have to pay another $333.30 to get it fixed. They call us on June 3, 2022, and say the a/c is fixed. I pick up the car and the a/c is blowing out warm air. The mechanic and the owner leave the car running for 30 minutes and check gas levels, but seem confused as to what the problem is. I decide to leave after waiting an hour. They tell me they will look at it. Three days pass and I still have not received a call from Greenbrier. I call them myself and they say come pick up the car because the a/c is now fixed. On June 6, my dad picks up the car, but he calls me and says the a/c is still not fixed. It's blowing out warm air.
I call Greenbrier back several times, but the mechanic who picks up tells me the owner is not in right now. Finally, I am able to reach the owner and he tells me (over the phone without seeing the car), there is probably another problem with the a/c. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company.
I would never recommend Greenbrier automotive to anyone. read more
