Imagine going to your Annual Women's Exam and being told you can't talk about your cycle or female health without being charged for a separate visit... That's exactly what happened to me. I had my first appointment here with Dr. Greenbaum July 8th for a routine Annual Women's Exam. During the visit, I discussed my medical history, menstrual cycles, and was asked about any concerns, all pretty standard business for an Annual Women's Exam. I mentioned that I wanted to open the door for a more detailed conversation about potential solutions down the line, and after labs were completed. While a few concerns were acknowledged, Dr. Greenbaum quickly dismissed my thoughts and at one point suggested I seek a second opinion if I wanted to look into them further. During the visit, she repeatedly pushed birth control despite me clearly stating I was not interested in discussing this. She also implied some of my concerns were unlikely due to my age, which felt irrelevant and dismissive. Am I not a female with female organs that can present challenges at any age? Standard follow-up for bloodwork and ultrasound were ordered. About a week later, I still had not received my bloodwork results despite being told they'd be ready in 48hrs. When I called, I was told their policy is to only contact patients if something is abnormal, contradicting what I'd been told. After this, I decided I was not going to return to the practice because something felt off. Later in the day, Dr. Burton (a different physician) called and reassured me she would be happy to answer my questions at my ultrasound/follow-up visit, which made me decide to keep it despite my initial experiences. When I returned August 8th for the ultrasound, the front desk informed me I owed a balance from my first visit. I told them it was a standard annual visit and this must be incorrect. The billing department "explained" that because I discussed "other things" during my annual exam, including my menstrual cycle and menstrual discomfort (which are standard topics for a well-woman visit) the appt was coded as an ADDITIONAL "problem visit," triggering a separate charge and copay. I was stunned. Discussing my medical history, menstrual health, medications, or having bloodwork ordered has always been standard in annual exams, confirmed by my insurance provider. This type of billing practice is misleading at best and borderline insurance fraud. Given my age and that this is an annual exam to discuss my health, if we were "getting too in the weeds" on a topic, which it didn't seem like we were, I should have been told in that moment that the conversation was crossing into a "problem visit" category, not retroactively charged for the same visit twice. I should have had the opportunity to make an informed visit if a subsequent charge were truly necessary. When I asked what IS actually included in the visit, I was told only a pap smear + breast exam. So, essentially you're implying that, unless I stayed silent during my wellness visit, I'd be charged extra? It is ABSURD to suggest I can't discuss my menstrual or hormonal health at a GYNECOLOGIST appt without it being coded and charged as a separate visit. This is unreasonable and arguably unethical. If I can't mention my reproductive health at my annual women's exam, was I supposed to discuss the weather while she was performing the exam? My insurance confirmed my annual exam should include: a review of medical history, pelvic exam, breast exam, pap smear, bloodwork, and any testing ordered during that appt. That's exactly what occurred during this visit. The entire experience has been unprofessional, dismissive, and lacking in transparency. There was little empathy, no clear solutions, and a disregard for patient-centered care; they even admitted other patients have experienced the same issue. This is either a severe internal communication failure or intentional, misleading billing. They turned essential women's health questions and standard conversation, into a payday. The worst, most incompetent drs office I've ever dealt with. 5 visits and no resolution. I'm out $800 in Dr visits, lab work and medication, to no resolve. Not only did they keep putting bandaids on bullet holes, all of my medical forms were incorrect. I have diabetes and high BP, my paperwork reads I do not, however it does read I'm on Ozempic for my diabetes. I needed an antibiotic, they tried to fill a prescription for penicillin. I am so badly allergic I wear a medic alert bracelet. When I questioned the office, the brilliant nurse asked, "Are you sure?" They could have potentially killed me. They take no issue with their errors and are extremely rude when you call them out, to a point there that their nurse practitioner told me to shut up when I was explaining my issues. 3 months later I'm still ill. I have been coming to this office for eight years and I never sit less than one hour for anyone to come see me even though I've had an always have the first appointment of the day sometimes I've sat up to three hours just for an annual examination...horrible nobody apologizes nobody explains...worst office worst customer service... read more

I had to change gynecologists after going to mine for 18 years because he no longer took my insurance. I was extremely leary about a new doctor but had no choice. From the minute I arrived at the office (after having no trouble at all making a n appt. by phone) I was attended to at the desk without waiting, filled in my proper paperwork and was called in 10 minutes after I sat back down. Unbelievable, I have never been seen that fast with my old doctor. The doctor came into my room 5 minutes after that. Unheard of!!! OMG was she nice. Took immediate interest in what I had to say without sounding put out or rushing me. She performed the treatment I needed painlessly (a first) and continued to be pleasant and caring while we talked. Also gave me a referral for another docyor who may help me with an old problem I brought up. I didn't even know I had other options before. I spoke to the desk attendants as I left and they all joked and were in high spirits. I need to go 4 times a years for my treatment which I always disliked but now I can't wait to go back. read more

The office staff is horrible. I used them for several years and left because of the staff. I decided to go back because I liked the doctors, BIG mistake! Once again dealing with that staff was a joke. I had an ultrasound and called several times, multiple days, to get my results and everytime I left a message I also left my new phone #. Finally after several attempts the Dr was put on the phone and seemed irritated that she had been calling me and I wasn't answering---because she was calling the wrong number. I was finally given my results and told I needed an ablation, the extremely rude office manager said she would call to schedule the procedure and again I got nowhere. When she did finally call me back, she told me it couldn't be done in the office, even though the dr said it could, and she told me I would have to pay over $2000 to have this done at the hospital. I told her I couldn't afford that, she kind of giggled and said we'll give you your records to go elsewhere. I found another reputable Dr with a great staff and was scheduled in less than a week in the hospital and I paid $0... Beware of this office-the staff doesn't care about your health! read more

If you are looking for an OBGYN doctor who is not only extremely medically intelligent, but also truly cares for you as a person, Dr. Greenbaum is the person to go to. She doesn't just see you as a patient but treats you like you really matter and are important. She has always taken her time and answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed in any way. I sent lots of my friends to her for their pregnancies and for regular gyn and every single one of them loves her. I haven't heard one bad thing about her. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Greenbaum and her staff at Boca! She is so sweet and caring and makes me feel like I'm her only patient. She explained my condition to me so kindly and in a way I can completely understand and put me at ease. The whole office makes me feel so welcome and special. Sometimes there is a wait but it is so worth it. I will never go to a different OB/GYN! Love them. read more

This place has the worst customer service and customer appreciation I've ever experienced in my 34 years. You can see from my profile I don't write reviews like this arbitrarily. I am pregnant and needed a doctor on my side; instead what I received was ONE answer of my telephone calls by a rude employee telling me she'll review my documents and get back to me in the future. I waited 4 business days, heard nothing, and called. THE ENTIRE FOLLOWING TWO DAYS, nothing but hold music. Literally 8 phone calls and nothing but their hold music. I waited a few days figuring there may be a problem with their phone systems, and again, absolutely no answers or assistance from them whatsoever. I can't comment on the doctor herself but how could anyone even see her when this is how they deal with telephone calls (8 hour hold times, failure to call back)? Avoid at all costs!
