I do not want to eat regular marshmallows since they contain gelatin which is made from animal hides, boiled crushed bones, and the connective tissues of cows and pigs. I find this process absolutely repulsive and stopped eating gelatin long before I chose a vegan lifestyle. When I began my search for better options, I stumbled upon this unique spot in Clifton Park. Green grocer always has Dandies marshmallows and also Enjoy Life vegan rice milk chocolate bars. I get these to make s'mores. I can always count on this great store to have many wonderful specialty options for people with special dietary needs and for people choosing to eat different diets or are concerned with the ethics of the factory farming industry. They do have meat and dairy options from carefully selected farms. I don't know a lot about it since I don't eat it but I would imagine these are better options than conventional grocery store meat. I'd encourage anyone to check out this great store. It's not far from exit 8A in Clifton park, south of Walmart in the same plaza as Nonna Maria's. The staff were helpful and relatively knowledgeable about stock, but this is yet another franchise desperate to get you on their mailing list via discount cards and coupons, and I continue to resent having to go through the routine of declining this on every visit.
