I'm happy with the outcome of my custody/relocation case and appreciate that we reached a…read moresettlement without going through the evidentiary hearing. My reason for giving 3 stars is the billing. I retained Molly with a $7,500 retainer primarily because I expected the case to proceed to an evidentiary hearing. I was not comfortable representing myself at that hearing, so I felt paying the retainer for experienced representation was worth it. When the case ultimately settled before the evidentiary hearing, I was surprised that the entire $7,500 retainer, plus my $150 consultation credit, had been used and that the final invoice still showed an additional $932.50 balance, particularly because the firm represented me for approximately three weeks and substantial case materials already existed when it took over. A substantial portion of the charges related to the Pre-Trial Memorandum, a document of approximately 30 pages. I was billed $4,117.50 for 6.1 hours of reviewing case materials and initially drafting it. I understand the memorandum required legal work, but I came to the firm with my own 30-page opposition already filed, a detailed case summary, and much of the evidence organized by prior counsel. In my opinion, $4,117.50 was excessive for that part of the work. I also disagreed with specific charges, including $61 for a text providing the Zoom link and login information for a hearing, and another $61 charge related to an email the firm acknowledged was sent to me in error. Those charges added to my concerns about the billing. After I raised my concerns, Molly ultimately waived the remaining $932.50 as a courtesy adjustment and closed my account with a $0 balance, which I appreciate. Overall, I'm happy with the case outcome but disappointed with the final cost and billing approach. I recommend that prospective clients discuss billing expectations, communication charges, staffing, and document-drafting costs in detail before retaining the firm.

I first hired Brandon in 2023 during an extremely difficult situation where I felt I could not adequately defend myself against someone who was taking advantage of me. Brandon truly helped change the direction of my life. When I found myself needing legal help again, I knew exactly who I wanted to represent me. Brandon is extremely knowledgeable and capable, but he is also kind, caring, and genuinely invested in his clients. I can honestly say that he and his firm are even better today than when I first hired them. They have helped protect my rights and my children in ways I simply could not have accomplished on my own. His entire office is also amazing. They are attentive, organized, responsive, and always on top of deadlines and documents. This is so important when choosing an attorney because you are not only hiring the lawyer--you are relying on the entire team behind them to make sure nothing gets missed. I also really appreciate how fair and reasonable they have been with billing. I have never felt like every interaction was about running up a bill. I feel like they genuinely care about helping their clients get through difficult situations. I am incredibly grateful to Brandon and everyone at Leavitt Family Law Group. If you need someone who will truly advocate for you while treating you with compassion and respect, I cannot recommend them enough.

Their ability to navigate the complexities of my case with precision, care and timeliness, while also keeping me informed and supported, exceeded every expectation I had.
