Lunch Special Bourbon Chicken with pork fried rice.

Just moved down here recently and had no clue which Chinese restaurant was best. I had been curious about this location but not having an updated menu on prices on a few years, I was a bit unsure. Ordered the Bourbon Chicken lunch special with the pork fried rice and a drink for takeout. Really great value for the price! Very delicious and I'll probably have leftovers as it was a pretty large portion. I'll definitely be coming back to try more things! I would also consider eating inside the restaurant as well.

Great Chinese food at a great price!! Customer service was great! Ordered their beef broccoli and steamed rice. It has a lot more flavor than some Panda Express locations. They offer a soda or egg roll with the meal. This is definitely the go to place for Chinese food in this area!

As we read reviews to decide what we want to eat, and if we want to eat at these places. Its important to read comments and so on from other people. My taste and yours, may not be the same I ordered the boneless beef with fried rice and eggroll. At first glance it is a nice looking presentation, ribs look better then most places, everything was acceptable, but I am a tough reviewer at times as certain things I expect more from. The Con of my review... The rice and food has a weird after taste. It might be the pink/Orange duct sauce. Or the food itself. The eggrolls were a different paper or whatever is used in comparison to most. Inside looked darker and different then most places as well as its normally a lighter inside from the shredded cabbage, so it has the crunch of a spring roll and, yet the look of an egg roll. I cant say this place was miserable, but I don't know if I would go back. Being a few miles from work it was convenient. Reasonably priced.. And for this area I assume this would be really good as its all local diners, older crowd and a growing area. Same plate by me in Orlando would be a dollar more based on the area. Hope this helped

Good food and fast service! The amount of food you get here is incredible. I came for lunch and got the bourbon chicken. It weighed like 10 pounds and for a low price of $6! Not only that, you get a choice of free soda or egg roll with any of the lunch specials. You can definitely share among your peers. The broccoli was nice and fresh. The bourbon chicken was boring, so I would probably get something with more veggies next time. I tried the Chicken with Cashews and it was delicious. The restaurant is small but there are a few tables and chairs if you want to dine in.

The parking lot sucks, but that won't detract from my review of the food and service. Once inside it a fairly nondescript establishment with a couple of tables in the lobby to sit at while you wait, or eat there if you were inclined (no thanks). The place was fairly busy for a weekday late afternoon, with patrons picking up food and/or placing orders. A few folks you could tell were regular customers, which in itself is a good sign. I ordered the 'Hawaii Five O' which listed crispy shrimp, scallops, chicken, beef, roast pork and vegetables. The wife (aka better half) ordered the 'two item special' of honey chicken and chicken Teriyaki. We also ordered a side of fried pork wontons and crab rangoon. The wait was not very long and the bag felt like it weighed 10 pounds when it was handed off. On the 35 minute drive home the little lady consumed half the wontons and stated they were quite good, which I would agree with later. Both of our entrees were HUGE. They provided plenty of fried and white rice. My Hawaii Five O was very tasty and the better half enjoyed her selection(s) as well. The portions were so big that we had leftovers the following day. The next day I added some red pepper flakes to kick mine up a notch. Neither day was I disappointed. The service was efficient and pleasant enough. If we are in this part of Lakeland in the future and get a hankering for Chinese takeout we would definitely patronize the place again. Oh yeah, the Hawaii Five O at the end of the description had "lobster" listed. This was either a misprint or if there was a piece in it it was minute. Regardless, the flavors were on point.

Buffet City feels like a mix between a tourist hotspot and a local go-to--and honestly, it works as…read moreboth. It's located in a busy plaza with Publix and other shops, so parking is easy and plentiful. The restaurant can get pretty packed, but unless you're coming in with a large group, reservations aren't really necessary. The buffet leans heavily Asian, offering sushi, a wide variety of seafood dishes, classic Chinese favorites, and a hibachi station. That said, if you're not big on seafood (like me), you'll still find some solid American options. Many Asian buffets tend to limit those choices to basics like pizza and chicken tenders, but Buffet City goes a bit further. I was pleasantly surprised to see pot roast, mashed and roasted potatoes, and even fried chicken. They also have soups, salads, and a dessert selection that's actually pretty good. Come prepared--this is definitely an "elastic waistband" kind of place because you're going to want to eat your money's worth. The restaurant is surprisingly clean and well-kept, and the food stays fresh. The hibachi station has a great selection, and the chef is quick and thorough. Service is decent. Staff come around to refill drinks and clear plates regularly--but be warned, if you're not finished, guard your plate like it's gold. Same goes for your utensils--leave them on a plate, and they're gone. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience--the food, the atmosphere, and the fun of loading up our plates with a little bit of everything. Hope you enjoy it just as much! Let me know what you think.
