But let me clarify; years ago I bought one pair of Quoddy…read moreshoes and when the soles wore out after normal wear and tear I mailed the shoes back to Maine which they re-soled, polished and treated the uppers, and put new leather laces in FOR FREE, then shipped back to me on the other side of the continent. They were basically a brand new pair of shoes. Quoddy takes pride in in the quality and craftsmanship of their product and it's obvious. When the soles wore out again after a couple years I sent them back again with the same service, and then once more after that. Each time the shoes were sent back to me, a hand written thank you note was included in the shoe box from the people who fixed my shoes. If that isn't customer service, then I don't know what is. The shoes are top quality hand made and don't cost a fortune, especially considering the service you get after you buy a brand new pair. My chukka boots are going strong almost ten years after I bought them and if I do need to buy a new pair I'll gladly purchase them from them.
