My husband and I participated in the Wine and Chocolate Festival weekend throughout Erie Wine…read moreCountry. Burch Farms was one of our last stops on the tour, a quaint, country building located on a back road surrounded by fields. I loved the setting and atmosphere of the country store as it reminded me of farmers markets in my hometown, Lancaster County, Pa. The staff were very friendly and informative about their wine products and they were prepared for the tour with four wine tastings as guests arrived. It was nice that the tasting room was located in a section separate from the market itself. I enjoyed their sweet wines, Niagara and Concord, and we bought a bottle of Gala to take home. All of the wines were reasonably priced and truly tasted as if the fruit was picked right from the tree or vine! After the wine tasting, I browsed the market side which contained fresh produce, locally made honey, jams and jellies, and specialty pasta noodles. In addition, they had specialty sauces and ketchup's in a variety of unique flavors and various dry dip mixes that were all reasonably priced. There was a counter with a display filled with cannoli's and breads, items what appeared to be freshly made that would satisfy any sweet tooth! Overall, I enjoyed this experience, not only because it reminded me of where I grew up, but that everyone was friendly and the products were reasonably priced. This place would be beautiful during the spring and summer when the land is green and in bloom. I hope to make this a stop again in the future and to try other items that they have to offer!

This year (2025) I again checked with Burch Farms for Red Haven peach prices. For one bushel of…read more#1's pre-picked peaches they were asking for $100. Not for me; we found red havens at a farm with pick your own at about 50% less. About 5 miles away too. Hmmmm

A quaint little farmers market off the beaten path. I am so glad we found this place. While…read morecamping in Erie PA, we found this place while looking for something fun to do that isn't the usual things in the downtown Erie. The brochure from the campground recommended this place and it was well worth the stop. Inside is a little market selling seasonal vegetables and local made sodas, dressings and canned pickles and sauces. Being autumn, there were plenty of apples, mums and pumpkins. There is also an amazing bakery with cookies, cakes, pies and breads. I didn't take a picture of the sweet treats we because they didn't last long enough - and they were OH SO GOOD! If you want to go to Erie and @are looking for something new and adventurous to do - definitely worth the drive!!!

Perfect place to grabs a sweet treat or gift for a friend, too. Great little resource for locals and tourists alike. I personally find the baked goods to be underwhelming, especially with so many other exceptional places in Erie for donuts and cookies but that is a very personal preference. Great selection and everything is beautiful. Staff is friendly and welcoming, too. Check it out!
