What was estimated as an 8-10 hour job dragged into a second day with minimal meaningful progress, but the bigger issue was the quality of the work itself. The wall was visibly not level, which is a fundamental requirement for a project like this and not something that should ever be in question. Even more concerning was the complete lack of proper base preparation--on the first day, blocks were placed directly without any appropriate base at all. After I raised concerns, they returned the second day with sand, but then mixed it with mulch and used that as the foundation, which is simply not an acceptable or stable method for a retaining wall. On top of that, I purchased materials based on the contractor's estimate, only to be told later that the quantity was significantly wrong due to an error in his measuring app, leaving me with a large and unnecessary overage. When I brought these issues up, instead of taking accountability or presenting a clear plan to fix the problems, the response shifted toward blaming communication. At that point, it was clear the project was not going to be completed to an acceptable standard, and I made the decision to stop the work entirely. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company.

He then was walking towards me with the blower and when I motioned to speak to him, he pulled the crank on the machine and blew stinky gas and oil mixture right in my face. He ignored me even speaking to him and walked away from me and when he finally turned the machine off and I asked him to come over here so I didn't have to walk through the freshly laid fertilizer and he turned towards me and said "you come over here" in a very angry voice and walked away. I don't appreciate this type of attitude and am done with their services! Not worthy of ANY STARS, but it made me post at least one.
