If you love John Deere merchandise like I do, this store is like your Disney World.. The stock of John Deere merchandise runs the gamut from giant lawn mowing tractors to onesies and bibs for babies with the JD logo on. It brought a bit of my inner child out again when I saw all the JD toys...albeit none within my budget range.. The store not only sells John Deere equipment, they also have Stihl products and the like. My reason for going to the store was that I had recently purchased a JD riding mower at Home Depot, but was unsure what kind of oil and gas it uses. The staff at the JD store were kind enough to bring the manual for my specific make and model up on their computer screen and then set me up with exactly what I needed. Really it made me feel kind of guilty/regretful for not purchasing it from them, but that's due to both ignorance on my part (didn't even know this store existed before today) and also that they weren't all that price competitive. I do think in retrospect that the higher prices at the JD store would have been worth it, just because of their expertise in the brand. read more

I've dealt with these guys a number of years for lawn tractors snowblowers and lawn mowers. I called them two months ago to get an appointment and they informed me they couldn't book appointments on a Saturday but someone would call me Monday. No call ever came. I called a month later on Saturday again as I work through the week and got the same guy. He apologized and owned it and said he'd make sure someone called me first thing Monday. No biggy as he was polite and wanted to help etc. He said I would get a call on Monday and they would expedite my appointment as he remembered me calling the first time. Monday came and once again no call came. I called again today ( now two months into this) and I got a different service rep. I explained my issue and the first thing this "service" guy says to me is " yeah I don't believe you". Hmmm. Really????? Here's an idea. Maybe ask your team before you call your clients liars and figure out how to book appointments on your systems even on Saturday's when you're open. And maybe just try to help people when they call. That's what service means. read more
