I was ordering from various places prior to finding Nature's Produce and I had major issues with some other places that do grocery boxes like Tender Greens (how many times can you get my order wrong!?). Anyway, I was a bit hesitant to buy produce in bulk, but after reviewing Nature's Produce's menu online, I realized it was no different than just a Costco trip, where I get bulk items for food we consume regularly-- frozen chicken, eggs, fruits, cheese, etc... I did get a ton of veggies and was able to drop them off to my mother-in-law and share yeast and flour with friends who had been searching for those items for awhile! Also--- great prices!! Please check this out if you're looking for grocery delivery. I haven't done pickup-- only delivery-- they came the afternoon of the day they said they'd deliver and they called me when the driver was outside since we live in a building with a code. They carry 100s of items, some I have never heard of. The prices are very reasonable. Many years ago, I would call to place an order for Saturday in-store pickup. However they are no longer open on Saturdays and Sundays, so I have switched to home delivery. This way I don't have to fight the downtown traffic and the aggravation that comes with it. The shipping fees they charge beats putting up with the traffic. I also like that you can browse their website and order in the convenience of your home. Payment is very easy through PayPal. For the past several orders, I did not have to call anyone there, my order was done exclusively via the internet. Every online order has been shipped within 24 hours. All items are packaged with care so your items arrive safely. Three or four times a year, I order the same products: Peeled & Steamed Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans), French Echalion Shallots, and Elephant Garlic. These products are a stable in my household. In addition to these item, I order a variety of fruits and vegetables. If you like to make a healthy hummus plate, I urge you to use Melissa's Peeled & Steamed Chickpeas. I am very pleased with Melissa's and I strongly recommend them for organic fruits and vegetables delivery.

Everyone is so welcoming and it is such a great time supporting vendors. There are tons of vendors to choose from, and so many healthy and delicious options. Did I mention that some vendors also offers samples of their delicious fruit? If I am not mistaken, they accept EBT vouchers or have a system in place for those who do receive it. There are some vendors selling food like pupusas and sandwiches which I have yet to try, but the line is always long which is definitely a good sign. Definitely recommend grabbing a bag (or many) of popcorn from the vendor who sells them. They are delicious and always a wonderful snack. I really like how there are healthier options being presented in my city and wish there were more of these farmers markets in Southeast Los Angeles. It does get a bit busy around 10 am and most items like the baked goods are gone by 1 pm so be sure to plan accordingly. I think visiting the farmers market and having a picnic at this park after would be a wonderful idea! Definitely worth checking out.

Jeannette greeted me as she has on previous visits but she also acknowledges my mother. Being friendly goes a long way because there are other options but having a great experience generally steers me to a store despite higher prices.
