For anyone with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), I cannot stress enough how important it is to see if chiropractic care is an option (especially at Green Chiropractic). For years, I was passed from specialist to specialist without ever being referred to a chiropractor. Ironically, it was a TikTok about cervical care and POTS that led me to look into it. By January of this year, I was sitting in my doctor's office in tears because my quality of life had gotten so low. I went from lifting weights for an hour a day, five days a week, to barely being able to get out of bed. I had constant nausea, severe dizziness, tachycardia, and pre-syncope. I couldn't walk around my own home and had to scooch or crawl if my husband wasn't there to help me. As a PhD student, keeping up with school felt nearly impossible. Even less than 2,000 steps a day left me exhausted and weak, and all I wanted to do when I got home was sleep. Despite being advised to prioritize cardiology care first, I decided to schedule with Green Chiropractic. When I saw my X-rays and the amount of stress being placed on my nervous system, I was shocked that, in over 10 years of symptoms (and 8 years to get diagnosed), this had never been suggested as an option. After my very first adjustment, I went home and walked up three flights of stairs with my heart rate staying under 90 (when it would normally be 140-180). It was a temporary effect, but it gave me hope. After several weeks of consistent care, my headaches have gradually disappeared. I can't remember the last time I had a migraine!! My dizziness and nausea are almost completely gone. At my recent cardiology stress test, I actually started crying because (for the first time in months) I was able to move and push myself without getting dizzy. My heart rate was still elevated, and I obviously have low exercise tolerance, but my blood pressure remained stable, and I had ZERO dizziness!!! I'm now slowly getting back into working out, which has been huge for my mental health. Going from being unable to stand or walk around my home to a 50m walk outside with my husband over Easter is overwhelming (in the best way). The Green Chiropractic Clinic approach is more symptom focused and patient centered than what I had experienced before! I had been enduring debilitating migraine headaches that were completely unaffected by traditional adjustments. Finding the courage to switch to Dr. Green was the best choice for me. Your first visit will include review of symptoms, discussion of current quality of life and your spine will be x-rayed to determine course of care. His approach is very intensive and may also involve physical therapy, electric impulses and traction in order to provide maximum effect. What I learned throughout my treatment is how my own lifestyle and posture effects my spine. Having an adjustment every few months will not resolve anything if you are not willing to change habits put in the time to do recommended daily exercises/stretches to maintain your spine. You are really in the driver's seat in terms of how effective your treatment will be and that is very empowering. The impact this clinic has had on my overall quality of life is immeasurable. I never had any insurance issues myself so I cannot speak to that, but I would encourage anyone who has had a billing issue to contact the clinic directly. There was a front desk staff change recently so I would call and try to straighten things out. Their staff go above and beyond to reach out to insurance providers on the patients' behalf to ensure services are coded and paid properly. I had been suffering from back pain for nearly 5 months and had been in a car accident which compounded my pain at the time I began getting chiropractic care from Dr. Green. Previous to my car accident I had been under the care of a different Chiropractor for the first time ever. My pain wasn't getting any better. After exhausting all resources to find answers to the cause of my pain through medical Drs. and the previous chiropractor by under going an MRI, Xrays, and an EMG test all for the Drs to say " We don't know whats wrong with you". I left my previous Chiropractor last year when I happened to visit Green Chiropractic. I saw some cars there on a Saturday and so stopped in. The doctor finished visiting with the only patient there then asked me about my concerns. I explained everything, they performed some functional movement assessments, and said that I should come back during business hours for a more in depth discussion. She spent 30 minutes with me, and they were closed! What more can I say? What other doctor do you know that would have that much concern? I came back during the week for an appointment, had x-rays, met with Dr. Green a few evenings later and discovered some significant alignment issues. Now, nearly a year later, I'm virtually pain free! Dr. Green is such a genuine, caring, practitioner - I feel lucky to have found him. I started going to the Omaha Headache Clinic about a month ago after having a migraine pretty much daily for more than a month. At that point i was ready to try almost anything to end the pain. I was visiting the ER for fluids and meds weekly and getting only temporary relief. I have suffered from migraines for 17 years,starting from age ten. I had good periods of time and bad periods. I use the term good loosely as that meant only 4-5 migraines a month versus the bad times of daily migraines. No medicine helped for longer than a day and the pain was effecting my daily life and my ability to care for my child. Dr.Green was able to see me the same day I called him and I got relief by that evening. I first visited Dr Green 6 years ago with neck and back issues. I had never been to a Chiropractor so I was apprehensive at first. Dr Green was great at removing any apprehensions and educated me as to what he was doing and why. Dr green went over some short and long-term treatment options. I opted to not just treat the symptoms but work on a long term solution and maintenance program. Dr Green also helped with advice on lifestyle changes work posture adjustments to help improve my condition. I have been back to Dr Green every couple of weeks for 6 years and have maintained the flexibility he improved with his treatment. My first visit started with an in-depth exam and X-rays, which I did not get from my other office. Then I was shown my x-rays and I could easily see the issues in my spine that were causing my back pain and also some issues that could lead to neck pain and headaches in the future. Green Chiropractic has EARNED my five stars and then some! I had scoliosis surgery in 2004 and have 12 of my vertebrae fused, so I am a difficult adjustment! I came in with headaches and Dr. Green not only improved them, he listened and respected my wishes to visit medical doctors as well. Yes, they want you to come consistently and often, but as a health care practitioner myself, I understand their rationale for treating a problem that took years to develop. You can't expect a cure the first visit, and you HAVE to expect it will take a bit of prioritizing and work on your part. I was a 3-4 per week migraine sufferer, until I decided that I no longer wanted to live the rest of my life taking drugs to prevent them, drugs to treat them, and then drugs to treat the affects of those drugs. After my first visit to Dr. Green and finding out that he could resolve the issues that were causing most of the migraines, I decided to trust him, and I'm so glad I did. I went to Green chiropractic for some upper back/neck problems x rays were done that showed my spine curving forward. I mentioned that I was having problems with vertigo (dizziness ) also for 2 years. My neck issue was quickly resolved. But what I didn't expect was for my vertigo to also improve ! You don't just get a quick adjustment . They spend time stretching and retraining your muscles to hold you in the proper position .
