New the area and needed my haircut. After attending AAA I noticed Great Clips. The ladies were so friendly. Gloria cut my hair and she was so conscientious and sweet. I have very challenging hair (baby fine and curly) and by the time she was done, I looked so much better. And you can't beat the price. Easy parking, no wait. I couldn't have asked for better. Will definitely go again. read more

Yeah I mean their prices are awesome ... but the quality of a haircut is that of a child . The lady left a lot of long hairs and my haircut looks off. Coupons are great but not if I'll have a butchered haircut. One side looks shorter ... ugh new year new butchered hair all thanks to Great f*cking Clips. read more

Open for out door. Cuts thank you. Great cut and great service. I will be back appreciate the people working there. Especially in this hot weather read more

This is my 3rd time at this place and the last one. The second time was not so good but I gave them the chance and I came back again for the 3rd time... I regret so much. My daughter was going to receive an award at school so I stopped by to cut her hair... wow really you can tell they are just learning with their customers... my poor daughter was so disappointed that even her noticed the mess on his hair on the next morning. I'm not coming back to this place. Do they really went to school for this? I don't want to be rude but seriously not the first time this happens. Look at pictures and judge yourself read more

First of all, they took me in probably 35 mins before closing time which I appreciated. The hairdresser was very nice and patient when trying to decide how to cut my hair (hasn't had a haircut in 1 year). She probably cut me in about 30 mins or so. When it was time to check out, there was another lady who I believe was coloring her hair when I walked in, at the register. I asked if they had any coupons she said I'd have to find one so they could scan it. It took a few mins while my wife and me looked for one we'd seen without any luck. The lady in a very rude attitude said we had to hurry up because they were closing, that was in a very disrespectful manner, her tone was like get outta here already. She had also told my wife to step away while I was being cut while she was having a normal conversation with the lady that cut my hair. Overall, the haircut looks nice but when delivering a service, people need to have their best attitude at all times even if you're having a problem. You can deliver the best service but a bad attitude can knock it all down. I want to make this place my regular but having to deal with that lady again has me doubting. read more

Service sucks here... The people here are not friendly and have attitude.... It's a shame because it wasn't like this before the management change..... read more

Went to get me son and my self a hair cut today. And was please with my sons hair cut that a young blond lady did. But mine was a horrible it was done by a dark hair older lady. I told her what I wanted but she did what ever she wanted. She was rude the whole process. And when I told her that's not I wanted she said sorry. I will never let her touch me hair again. read more

Let me explain the 4 stars- The energy in this salon is high strung. The stylists almost fight for the chance to make a couple dollars. For a price so low you'd think the store would be teeming with customers. But with such high competition there seems to be a lot of angst. Managers are responsible for creating a friendly environment. We would like a friendly Great Clips. The first time we went in the ladies were grumbling back and forth as to who was going to cut my daughters hair. There was a long pause and finally one person stepped back. The stylist grumbled that we just wanted a straight cut and said layers would look much better. She did a good job but good gosh what an environment. The second time, I was nervous. My daughter wanted 8 inches off and layered. The stylist name was Janet. She styled it really well and didn't complain what style we chose. The cut was sharp and no strays. We were happy and the price was great even without coupons. I liked the stylist so the four stars are for Janet she did a nice job but that environment needs work. read more

I am furious I just came back from getting all my hair trimmed...I have front bangs and I asked her to cut my bangs and I showed her under my brows and the lady said okay. When she cut them she pushed them to the side so I didn't notice tell I got home. I straighten them and they are way above my eye brows and not even!! I will not be returning same with my boyfriend. read more

I had a coupon for a haircut. I previously had gone to Great Clips and was pleasantly surprised by Valerie who gave me an amazing haircut. Tonight, I used my Great Clips App on my phone to get in line for my haircut. What a great convenience to be able to see how long my wait time would be before I arrived and to hold my place in line. I was so happy when my girl was working; I walked right in and have now had a second great haircut! Excellent job! Thank you! read more

If you want a rough cut see Gloria. Never again. She was rough on my head and seemed like she was in a rush. Will rethink my haircut place of choice. read more

I got a trim here and it turned out okay. Nothing special but for $12.99 I wasn't expecting much. The staff is friendly too.

We took my son for his routine haircut that we have been doing for a year now....... this being our 2nd time at great clips..... we show the lady the same picture that we show every other person that has cut his hair and every other time it turned out perfect, but this time the lady clearly did whatever the heck she wanted. She confirmed long on the top and short on the sides and we said yes. She butchered his hair, it's so freaking short, I'm so mad!!! She used clippers on his hair which has never been done. When I went back over to confront her I showed her the picture and said does his hair look like this picture and she said yeah long on the top and short in the sides...... no it looks nothing like the picture she also didn't offer an apology or anything. She cut it way to short and my son has a big head so it looks funny...... needless to say I will not be returning!!! I wound not recommend this place to anyone, no matter how cheap they are. read more

Maria !! She did such a great job. I was hesitant on coming in but I am so glad I did. I chopped off my hair and Maria gave great tips on how to keep it healthy since my hair was damaged from bleaching my hair. I loved how she thinned out the sides since I went short that way it wouldn't be too heavy. She definitely knew what she was doing and I highly recommend her :) pics will be posted of before and after ! Pics don't do justice to what it really looks like. Plus I need to get used to styling it. read more

I recommend seeing Janet here. She is terrific, personable and did a fine job on my haircut! I came here once a few months back and I can't stop thinking about my first and LAST visit I don't know what your workers think cleaning their tools requires but I went in for a simple trim and ended up the next day with full grown lice crawling through out my hair I had not had it before the visit and after I noticed something off and was scratching way to much I think you either need to fire and rehire all your staff or shut down all together what hair cut place allows for their workers to not properly clean their equipment the job isn't that hard anyone could do it and you managed to mess it up I basically paid for you to give me lice I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!! read more

Having moved here two years ago under emergency circumstances, I needed to find a good hairstylist and had no idea to where I should go. I had a friend who worked at Great Clips in Las Vegas and decided to give the Great Clips here in Simi Valley a try. I was fortunate to get Leticia (Manager) the very first time and have had her every time right up to the present. She is most competent, efficient and strives to satisfy her clients with the cut they desire. Leticia along with the other stylists are most friendly and work hard at understanding what the client wants and giving the utmost in satisfaction. It is rare that you get a 'win' on the first 'spin', but that is exactly what I got when I walked in the door at Great Clips, Simi Valley, CA. Give yourself a 'great' treat, the next time you are in Simi Valley, and visit GREAT CLIPS - ask for LETICIA; you'll be glad you did! read more

Meh, went in for a haircut a couple days ago. Had a 15min or so wait, no problem there, they're newly opened and there were only two people working that day. My turn, and I'm assigned a stylist and just as I've told her what I wanted done (nothing elaborate, just cutting off a good six+ inches) she left me to go do something in the back of the shop. Once returned, she started cutting, but it wasn't many minutes until she left me alone in the chair again, this time to correct something in the register that apparently also required her to make a call to someone. A good 5-10 mins go by, without any communication with me whatsoever. Finally she came back and finished my cut. All in all she probably spent more time _away_ from me than she did with me in the chair. I get it, sometimes stuff needs to be dealt with, but when you're with a customer at least apologize when you walk away in the middle of the job. At least I had a coupon so the price was good, but doubt I'll be back. read more

I asked if i could have a trim because they know i HATE short hair especially up front and now there isn't even an inch of hair up front and the sides are cut up to 3/4 of the way on the sides and its long in the back! My OCD is killing me and this was a terrible experience. Carina gave my haircut. I think she should have a chat with the manager. My worst experience by far. The quality here is mostly 5 stars but not this time. Every time carina gives me a haircut its always terrible quality and super uneven most likely not coming again. read more

Hair cut was way to short on one side. She was too fast an reckless with the clippers. She played the part of a hair dresser "played". Good work is not cheep& cheep work is not good as with anything with life, lesson learned. read more

I was told if you check in prior it puts you in a priority they lied and when I called them to tell them that I did a check in and they need this code that's in my phone she wouldn't take it over the phone so sending my husband down with my son I still had to drive after them. And the phone said we only had 4 min to get there to show them the code for a discount and she said we had to wait until after the hair cut before she would take the code omg no management there to help them understand the code is going to expire. This last year I have seen many contractors come through my home but Family Air was our favorite hands down. The entire staff from the owner on down were very courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, always on time and very hard working. They were very mindful of what was going on around them and always made sure they were careful where they worked and when they were gone for the day you never knew they were even there. I highly recommend this company!!! Thank you guys. read more

Today was not a great day but I needed to stop by the salon and get a cut no matter what. All I can say is that the two wonderful women working (I am so sorry I didn't even catch their names) showed me a level of kindness and compassion I was not expecting but really (really) needed. They took a difficult situation and helped me through it with their grace I could not be more thankful. I will be back just as soon as I can! read more

My first time going to Great Clips. Very surprised prices are good $16 for a hair cut and $12 if your a kid. They also have great promotions and coupons like $5.99 hair cuts. Compared to its competitor a couple stores down. This is much cheaper. Plus the hair cut was Great!! It lives up to its name, they are GREAT CLIPS!! I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

One of my worst haircut experiences.. So this was my first time there. First of all the lady cutting my hair stunk of cigarettes. I asked for the lady to taper the sides and do a fade up the back and non tapered parts of the sides, and to take a quarter of an inch off the top. I ended up with over an inch off the top, and just a typical two on the sides. Once she finished I noticed the tapering was much shorter on one side than the other and asked the lady to fix it and she told me I was wrong, so she went over it with the size one 1 buzzer and guess what, more hair was cut. As a guy haircuts are way more noticeable than girls. Really disappointing I'm going to have to grow it all out and go somewhere else to get my haircut the way I want. read more

I'm very picky about haircuts. I took my granddaughter there to get her hair cut and was so pleased with the hairdresser Nicole. She cut my granddaughters hair in a bob and did a wonderful job. Was the only customer there and was told I needed to download their App on my phone to check in. Retarded. Do you go to a empty restaurant and have the hostess tell you that you need to download an app on your phone before you can be seated?! Not impressed. The thing I love about this place is their online check-in. I checked in and the site gave me a surprisingly accurate estimate of 15 minutes.
