This time I looked at google reviews first (I am so glad). Renee did such an amazing Job. (I am loyal to my hairdresser and I love everything she does. I realized I couldn't wait until next week.) I get nervous because my hair is coarse, thick, wavy and unruly. Renee took ten minutes examine the cut and telling me where it was texturized (not layered). lol I get confused. She was so personable. I heard her being asked about color recommendations and advice by other stylists. She really knows so much. About what brands of colors are probably being used elsewhere to achieve colors etc. I was very impressed. Renee was easy to talk with and I felt the headache I had all day from stress begin to ebb ... she didn't try to push product, but recommended something I liked when asked. She also had an open bottle and made sure the scent was ok for me. We had a previous conversation about scent sensitivities. I wholeheartedly recommend Renee for complex women's cuts and color. I am pretty reluctant to recommend hairdressers other than my own.

I've traveled all over the world and have spent embarrassing amounts on fancy cuts at famous salons…read morein NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, not to mention abroad in the world's premiere cities and yes, it is a markedly different experience getting a cut in a 5-star salon. Here in Pennsylvania, in this part of the world Denise's Salon is definitely it- absolutely a 5-star salon! If I lived closer I would be in here every 2-3 weeks (assuming she would have me). Initially, I was curious as to why Denise's Salon only had 2 Yelp reviews (prior to me adding this one), until I got my haircut there and realized she has had her cosmetology business going strong for over 25 years and has virtually 100% repeat business from an incredibly familiar local clientele. I think generally its the first-timers (like myself) who comment on new and different experiences, and it might even be a little difficult for new people to even get an appointment here because they seem pretty full with repeat and referral clients. Fortunately for me, Denise welcomed me in (even as a walk-in, without an appointment) and made time in her busy day to help me. Especially considering it was the week before Christmas when *everyone* was looking to get a haircut, I found her hospitality, flexibility and warmth to be most welcoming! I also received a fresh, new look that looks great on me and I've received several positive comments on it. When Denise was done cutting my hair, my new look told me she is keeping up-to-date with newer styles and is not afraid to recommend a new style when she thinks you can handle it. If you're looking to look great - get yourself in here and see how amazing you feel coming out. I couldn't be happier with my new haircut, and I am confident you will love yours too.

I came in so a hair wash and to get my hair colored back to its natural black color and I was pleasantly surprised by how seamless and pleasant? Every moment of it was? Most of the hair dressers there seemed to be very young, but from what I could see, they were all very attentive and thorough with whatever they were doing. I enjoyed that it's a friendly atmosphere, but not the laid back "not really at work" vibe that can come with some higher end salons. I'm hooked now. I don't think I have much interest in going anywhere else for any hairstyling needs. If there is any hair on your head, you have to try this place out!
