I've traveled all over the world and have spent embarrassing amounts on fancy cuts at famous salons…read morein NYC, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, not to mention abroad in the world's premiere cities and yes, it is a markedly different experience getting a cut in a 5-star salon. Here in Pennsylvania, in this part of the world Denise's Salon is definitely it- absolutely a 5-star salon! If I lived closer I would be in here every 2-3 weeks (assuming she would have me). Initially, I was curious as to why Denise's Salon only had 2 Yelp reviews (prior to me adding this one), until I got my haircut there and realized she has had her cosmetology business going strong for over 25 years and has virtually 100% repeat business from an incredibly familiar local clientele. I think generally its the first-timers (like myself) who comment on new and different experiences, and it might even be a little difficult for new people to even get an appointment here because they seem pretty full with repeat and referral clients. Fortunately for me, Denise welcomed me in (even as a walk-in, without an appointment) and made time in her busy day to help me. Especially considering it was the week before Christmas when *everyone* was looking to get a haircut, I found her hospitality, flexibility and warmth to be most welcoming! I also received a fresh, new look that looks great on me and I've received several positive comments on it. When Denise was done cutting my hair, my new look told me she is keeping up-to-date with newer styles and is not afraid to recommend a new style when she thinks you can handle it. But after over a year of working with him and now being able to get him to talk during the process he does great sitting there and listening to what she needs him to do. He has his moments but we have come a long way there is no screaming or crying and Dani's ability to get on his level and distract him and still come out with a decent haircut at the end is amazing.

I was very impressed with the quickness she was able to do my full highlights while still doing a very thorough job on my long, thick hair. She clearly knows her craft well! She is very professional ,yet I feel like I'm hanging out with someone in the neighborhood. I've always received quality salon treatment in a hometown atmosphere. Our family has been so pleased with her service that she has been with us through parents illnesses in nursing homes(hired her to cut our moms hair making them feel special), School proms , through special events and weddings. With everyone I have worked with - facials, haircuts, massages, etc., I have always felt comfortable (I've been a client for 8 years). If I have had an issue, which happened one time early on, Jen, the owner, made sure they did the right thing. Jessica Martin, the massage therapist I see, is absolutely amazing! She cares about her clients, she takes the time to find out what you need and puts her "all" into her work. She is easy to reach and to book services with. She offers cupping, hot stone, deep tissue or you can get just relaxation massage. Definitely worth the visit! And, their prices are very reasonable.
