I expressed my anxiety at the front desk to the stylist, Renee (there might be two Renees notably), and she comforted me throughout the process while addressing my concerns and answering my questions. Granted my needs were pretty straightforward and simple, just needed a beard trim and the sides of my head shaved, but just her acknowledging my anxiety and keeping me comfortable went the full extra mile for me. My wife went in to get a pixie hair cut and the man that cut her hair was awful. Her hair cut is more like a mans cut. The back of her hair is not straight. But that's not even the worst part he repeatedly pressed the scissors into her neck and cut her with the clippers. Every time he used the scissors he would jerk up before the cut was complete. Just got a haircut from a gentleman from Thailand . Asked him to do a simple hair cut by just fading the edges medium high. He decided to go high high and now I got a crappy haircut with my hair sticking out on my side that does not match or fade with the top of my head. The most disappointing part aside from this experience was the fact he had me on FaceTime with his lady friend and I did not notice until the end of haircut. This must've been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I asked for simple layers, and the stylist Arlett chops off a huge bundle of my hair, I was mortified! stopped her to tell her that it wasn't what I had asked for and she started arguing with me that it is how layers are done etc, I tried telling her that it is not but there was no point as she did not even want to hear it. No apology, comforting or an offer to fix it. She did, however, ask me what I wanted to do, I asked her if the person who cut my hair last time was available, she pointed at Nancy (curly hair) and asked if it was her I wanted, I wasn't sure but I said yes as I feared Arlett would further botch my hair if I said no. I had to wait for Nancy for about 15 minutes, then when she became available; I spoke with her nicely and expressed that I'd hoped she could fix the mistake, she pretended like she couldn't pinpoint a mistake, which got me even more frustrated. She claimed to be the store manager, I explained the issue to her and she could see that I was in distress because of the mistake her coworker did, still no apology and on top of that she didn't even acknowledge a mistake, then she told me to 'drop the attitude or else I won't fix it', wow! I wasn't even yelling, being aggressive, cussing anyone out or making a scene in any way shape or form, all I was hoping for was a simple apology and the offer to fix it and make it better, which did not happen. I asked for the manager, Nancy said she's the manager, I asked for their supervisor's number and began calling the supervisor while standing in the lobby. Nancy then told me that I was no longer welcome at the store and must leave, my response was that I would like to speak with the supervisor while still inside the store, she then threatened that I either leave or she will call the cops, I told her that she could go ahead and do that. She called the cops and 2 police cars showed up, the officer asked me to step outside so we could talk, I explained the situation to him and his response was that their involvement was not justified in this issue, apologized for the poor customer service I had just experienced and left. I then was able to get a hold of the supervisor, he was extremely nice and apologetic, He acknowledged that I should not have been treated the way I was and promised that this wouldn't happen in the future. How do I give 1/2 star? The 2 girls working there are sooo horrible. I asked for a high fade for my son and Nhu gave what looks like a Mohawk. Cut too much off the top it looks horrendous. The other girl Nancy who cut my hair did it in what seems record time like less then 10 minutes. Came as a walk-in was greeted by a nice lady then took a seat there was a little wait nothing major. One stylist finished with her customer and asked if I wanted a haircut. Uh, yes. She disappeared into the back room and my estimated wait time jumped 10 more minutes. Another guy came in, asked remaining stylist how long, she told him 10 minutes. Sure, right. Customer #3 came in, not signed in. Stylist greeted him, said she knew he'd been waiting to get a haircut, so she'd take him straight in. That pushed my time to 40 minutes past original estimate. Please DO NOT book appointment with NANCY she is unprofessional. My experience: I arrived for haircut appointment at 12:40. She was on her phone the whole entire time. She would only communicate with her hands because she did not want to stop the conversation she had over the phone. She did not greet me or anything. Worst service ever! NHU serviced my 14 yr old daughter, and she asked for shorter bangs. She told her no. Then she asked for shorter layers, and she told her no again and that her hair would be too poofy, especially if she didn't style it every day. My daughter was not given the service she asked for and was upset. When i went back into the salon, i asked for an owner/corporate number and her name. She wouldn't give either one. I asked her name, and for a copy of the receipt, she told me she threw it in the trash. She also said that she cut my daughter's hair before and that if she didn't like her, she should go somewhere else. I stood there and asked again for a number and her name she told me to sit down because she was tired of me and didn't want to talk to me anymore. O stars honestly for hair cutter Nancy Liliana Castro.I have clear instructions that I want layers on my sides only but she did cut short the other parts of my hair too. She has sprayed my eyes with what she is using in the process of cutting my hair but instead Of being apologetic she said it's just water in there. I was very disappointed more when my hair was not cut evenly I wanted it straight.She said it is her first day at work when asked.I asked if somebody more experienced can repair my hair she said ok but left me standing in waiting so I asked from another lady who can do my hair but I was told the store is closing soon and nobody available.So I asked for a refund so another salon can fix my hair.Nancy offered 3 options.I wanted my cash back but she said I only have options but no cash back.So I chose to just buy shampoo.She charged me $24.99 instead of $21.99 on the price tag,When asked she said the price was wrong.I said that's not right,I want to make a complain and she said rudely and nastily you can make your complaints wherever you want you can even google.I am not even at work now it's past working time.So I replied you should not have accepted customers if that's the case.She ended up putting back $9 on the credit card and giving the shampoo instead of $17 refund.I am not sure what she is doing so I ask are you sure?we good?She said fine it will be days before it will appear in the card. New to the area so we have to find a new barber for my 10 year old. Googled great clips and went in as a walk in. We were signed in by one woman who was nice. She said it wouldn't be long. Then a girl came from the back and called his name. She looked Hispanic with glasses, lip piercing and curly hair. I didn't get her name. I walked to the chair with my 10 year old and started explaining we were needing a fade and to trim the top. She said "an inch and a half. I said no a lil less. She said "half an inch?" I said no let's just do an inch. She smirked and made a face as if I was making her job hard. She then said his hair was "detached?" And that it wasn't going to blend well. I told her I didn't understand "detached" and that I never heard of that term in my 30+ years of getting haircuts. I then asked his mother to pull up a picture of what our barber would do. She glanced at the phone very quickly and turned away and proceeded to get her scissors and clippers ready without saying a word. I then asked "can you do that?" She asked "am I doing the sides?" I said yes a fade of a no guard on the sides. She said "I didn't know I was doing the sides too." I figd maybe she had a bad day so I didn't say anything. She started to comb his hair on top and was pulling it with every stroke. He said "ow" every time because it was pulling his hair and after the third time she told my step son "do you want to comb it?" I then asked her if she could spray it like my old barber because we never had this problem before. She told me no because her clippers can't cut gooey hair. So she went back to combing his hair, another few strokes with my step son saying ow ouch. I stopped her and said "it's ok. We will go somewhere else." I was not rude at all even after the hair pulling. She said "that's fine and took his cape off without another word. I will never walk into this establishment ever again for a haircut and I will be calling the manager at that location and corporate to complain. I regretfully did not get her name. Took my 7 year old son for a haircut before school pictures. Got there just before 4 PM on a Monday and was able to be seen right away. Griselda did a great job with his hair. Glad we stopped by. There were a few people waiting when we left so arriving prior to 4 helps lessen the time spent waiting. read more
