I really…read morewanted a Kerastase deep conditioning treatment, AND a haircut so I needed to find a salon that even carried it. Salon Pynk came up and I called to book an appointment. While it's a little out of the way for me, I was looking forward to the new experience. My appointment was at 10 AM on a Saturday, and since I had other stuff to do, I was early to make sure I could get in right at 10. I get to the salon, and their not even open until 10. OK, cool. Well, 10 AM rolls around and nobody's still in the salon to even open. Eventually, some of the gals showed up a few minutes later and I was able to check in. Anyway, since the girl who booked my appointment had epically failed to write ANYTHING down, they asked me what I was in for that day. They thought I was a walk in! LOL. I showed her my confirmation text and we were all confused. So, I had to tell her that I needed a wash, cut and a kerastase treatment. Here's where it gets even weirder. Normally, these treatments are $30 and can only be done at the salon. It's a spray in thing, and usually lasts for about 8 to 10 washes, but it super hydrates your hair. Since I have dry frizzy hair, it works wonders and a treat for me to get. Now, Kerastase could've changed stuff but I'm pretty certain it was a misunderstanding between the stylist and myself. She told me that the treatment was $50, had caviar in it, and I had to sit under the heat helmet for 30 minutes. I'm like $50? NO. nope. cancel cancel cancel. It didn't sit right with me from what she was saying about the Kerastase treatment so I passed on it. I didn't want to offend her but I wasn't paying her $50 dollars for it. After some awkward conversation, I got to the shampoo station which was probably my favorite part. The chairs have back massagers in them! WHAT?!?! I need one at home. The gal did a really good job and I ended up going to the station and sitting with my stylist. I will say, the haircut and style came out great, and even though the first half of the appointment (and I use that loosely since they never really booked me for a formal one) was painfully awkward, I did enjoy the style here and cut. Total bill was $45 for the whole thing. Weirdly enough, they do not allow you to add tips on your card. It must be done in cash or Venmo. How did I figure this out? There was a sign on the front desk with QR codes for each stylist and their venmo account so you can tip them directly. Interesting. Make sure to bring cash or have a venmo account.

The studio policy clearly had her rushed to attend to the next client who was probably more important because she had a more expensive hair job with cut, color, and otherwise. I just had a simple short haircut that should have been easily handled if she had followed my directions but she either didn't care or was otherwise too inattentive to give me the cut that I needed. I had to go back to have somebody else blend it in and was forced to have it cut shorter to blend in the top. Just FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! If the stylist has a concern or unsure, please communicate!!!! This is especially true for new clients like myself. SOOOO PISSED because I thought that if I paid a lot for a supposedly prestigious hair salon, I would get top notch service that I paid for but sadly no. In addition to losing myself as a repeat customer, you lost the business of my family and friends. We are all dealing with a LOT of Stress in our lives. I explained that I was a bridesmaid and needed to be finished by 10:00 for my makeup appointment. She literally laughed and told me, "That's not going to happen. You won't be out until 10:45." This was for a simple low ponytail with light waves that I had already shown her. At 9:35, two assistants started curling my hair while Antonette continued working on her THIRD client since I had arrived for my 9:00 appointment. I repeatedly asked when I would actually be able to see Antonette, and nobody could give me an answer. By this point I was extremely upset and honestly on the verge of tears. At 9:55, her assistant finally asked if I could come back later to actually have my hair done. Obviously, I said no because I had a wedding to be in and a strict timeline that I had communicated from the beginning. I took off my cape and left without receiving the service I had booked. The worst part was that Antonette didn't apologize, acknowledge what happened, or even say anything as I left. She simply gave me a snarky look. I am not new to getting my hair or makeup professionally done. I understand that appointments can occasionally run behind, unexpected things happen, and sometimes a stylist needs extra time with a client. That is not what happened here. There was no meaningful communication, no attempt to accommodate me, no apology, and seemingly no respect for my time whatsoever. If you know you cannot accommodate a 9:00 AM appointment, then DON'T BOOK A 9:00 AM APPOINTMENT. And if circumstances change, I would hope some would have the basic professionalism to communicate that with your client BEFORE they spend their morning sitting around waiting. I booked this appointment a year in advance because I trusted that my appointment would be honored. Instead, I arrived on time and was treated like an inconvenience while I watched other clients get serviced before me. I ultimately left without receiving the service I had booked. The entire experience was incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly humiliating. I would never book with Antonette again, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend her to anyone who values punctuality, communication, or basic respect for their client's time.

I messaged them last night to inquire about an appointment and they got me in the next morning. First impression, everything is great. The salon is beautiful and very clean, everyone is very friendly and warm, and I felt comfortable the entire time I was in the salon. My stylist listened to my request and offered suggestions to help get me to my goal. She was so nice and so confident. The end result was amazing! I love my hair and can't wait to go back for my next appointment!
