Decatur location. Love my haircut from today. Jill did a GREAT job! I will be back again.

Great Haircut, Ariana was by herself but took her time to make it nice. Highly recommend for low fades. read more

I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The professionalism and quality of service fell far below expectations. It was clear there was little pride taken in the work, and even more concerning was overhearing staff speaking negatively about clients within earshot--especially with children present. Customers deserve respect, courtesy, and a welcoming environment. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect that standard. Do better Great Clips. read more

Staff can improve their customer service. Majority of the staff are not very friendly. They have this flat affect. I rarely see them smile.

Got my haircut from the stylist with "pink" hair. It wasn't until I got home that I realized what a horrible job she did. I had "spots" on the side where she took it down to the scalp. The back was also a joke. It was to be squared off, but then she made it go high up on the back of my head. I have had numerous haircuts here and also been very pleased. If she is here when I come back next time, I am turning around and leaving. Hopefully they realize how unqualified she is and lets her go. Writing this, I am still in amazement what a botched hair cut she gave me read more

Save yourself don't go I just got my hair absolutely obliterated. I have to go to a barber to get it fixed now.

I wanted to share that my son and I just had a terrible experience at our local Great Clips that I have brought my son to for the last 9 years. We came in and I showed the stylist the inspiration picture and they said great and started cutting my son's hair. While they were cutting his hair, they mouthed something to another stylist and it appeared there was tension between them, like you could cut the tension in the salon with a knife. None of the stylists were talking to the clients they were working on compared to usual. Our particular stylist named Jill, was rushing through my son's haircut haphazardly, jerking his head around and almost cut their own finger with their shears. They had asked me how it looked and I asked them to go shorter and they just had a terrible attitude. I asked for half an inch shorter which they proceeded to cut, but it looked uneven. I pointed it out showing them where it looked longer on top and they snapped saying, "it's not, I checked it 3 times," then cut a little more. I had to ask them to line up my son's sideburns and they had an attitude about that and still didn't line him up. I finally told Jill that they had a terrible attitude and they blowed my son off with the blow dryer and rushed us off. I had initially wanted a wash as well, but didn't bother to pay for an additional service with how we were being treated. Jill put the service in without a word and walked off. I had a coupon to use, but had to wait for them to come back to apply it. I paid for the haircut and did not even receive a receipt because Jill walked off once again. My son's haircut does not look like the inspiration photo I showed Jill and every time I spoke up to correct it, Jill snapped at me. I will now have to have his haircut fixed by another stylist and pay again the day before school starts! I did not leave a tip and I am extremely unsatisfied with the service that we received today. This service was completed by Jill. I understand that people have bad days, but they should not take it out on those that are paying for a service, especially children the day before school starts! read more

My wife went in for a haircut after years of letting it grow out primarily because we are care more about our health than our looks in general. She was given the option to donate her hair as it exceeded 12inches to a childrens wig organization. They gave us all the required instructions and envelope. I completed the forms online and mailed her hair (in ziplock). Her haircut was free and we tipped and had a great experience read more

Leslie was the girl who cut my 5 year old's hair. He is good. Sits, doesn't move, say anything, doesn't cry...he is legit a mini adult getting his hair cut. Due to covid I am not allowed to be next to him so she has free rein to not be supervised. His neck line was crooked so she kept buzzing off more and more. Eventually the manager came over to try and fix her mistake but look at it....it's like a bike trail and in the last 2 days 7 people have asked me if I tried cutting it myself. The front of his hair had this chunk of hair that had not even been cut (and it was a while since he had a hair cut). She told me he was done. I pointed out the obvious so she took the scissors and straight cut the chunk of hair so now it is shorter than the rest of his uneven hair AND while the rest could be blended, this inch and a half part of his hair is straight and looks like he took scissors to his own hair. My boy does so well getting hair cuts that I didn't want to cause a scene and make him self conscious and embarrassed....but it is embarrassing and I am sad for my boy. Don't ever let Leslie cut your hair!!!! read more

I purchased shampoo and conditioner and I was told if I didn't like the results, I can return them in a month. I tried their products for three weeks, didn't like the results. When I tried to return them, I was told the return policy was two weeks. I was rudely informed of this by the manager. I do not recommend this location. Also, the two girls in from had no idea how to do a return. Learn customer service!! read more

I am a U.S. Veteran looking to receive a coupon for a future visit as stated online. I was left standing without being addressed for over 10 minutes at the front . I waited and waited until i was finally approached by someone and told by a lady today that I had to go online and fill out some form and to return within two weeks. There is no form online , this store is dishonest and inconsiderate . 1/10 stars . I was in around 2:20pm today . read more

I took my 9-year old son today to the Great Clips (6171 N Decatur Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89130) for a haircut. We scheduled a haircut online and arrived on time. When we arrived, there were 2 stylists and 1 customer inside. We checked in and were asked to have a seat outside, where it was 99 degrees outside. The sign in the window stated that there would be no more than 10 people inside of the salon. When the stylist came to the door (identified herself as the manager) she asked how I would like my sons hair cut, and I explained. She offered to swap out his cloth mask for a paper mask and I agreed as apparently the cloth catches all of the hair. I tried to enter the salon and she told me that no one can wait in the lobby. I then explained to her that the sign doesn't state that and she said that no one is allowed to wait in the lobby again. I stood outside in 100° weather in my uniform and watched through the window as my son got his haircut. When she was done he came out and showed me his cut and she asked if it was good and I told her it was as I was uncomfortable and hot and was ready to leave. I was then allowed inside to pay, despite the "rules", where I expressed concern for the implemented rules stating that she might want to consider changing the sign and she said no as that is what they are directed to do. I explained to her that I went to the CDC website and the cosmetology site that was mentioned in the other signs posted in the window and stated that there was nothing on those websites that says minors will be separated from their parents in order to receive haircut (keep in mind, still less than 10 people in the salon) The websites did state that if the business was overcrowded that it would be best for other people to wait outside and that practicing social distancing of 6 feet should be practiced. This lady was completely unwilling to listen to my complaint and stated that she would not change the sign as that is what they are being told to do, even though the information is inaccurate. I simply ask that you, Great Clips Corporate, please instruct your employees to use better judgement when responding to concerned parents with minor children customers. The world is already suffering enough from poor decisions. read more

Not very happy with my experience here. I checked in online and drove to the store when I got a text saying to head in. When I arrived, I showed my check in to the woman at the counter and she kept saying "I don't see you on the list." They made me get in line behind all of the other customers. I don't understand what I did wrong, and why I had to wait over 30 minutes before being serviced. I'm not very happy with the haircut I received. I'm probably gonna go in and make them fix it. I shouldn't have paid. read more

I have been putting off getting my haircut for over a year since the last lady who cut it took 2 hours. My hair is long and thick, but 2 hours?! I came into Great Clips for a trim and the minute I stepped in, I felt a good vibe all throughout. Maria greeted me and said there was a short wait, but I didn't mind at all. Maria was very knowledgeable about curly hair and took her less than 20 minutes to cut my hair. She recommended some great products that will help my problematic flyaways. Came in when it was dead & not only did the stylist (Alix) look up my preferences (saved at some point in CA) she printed them out. Had a nice convo about living in Vegas & different textures of hair products as my Crew Pomade is only good for slacking down my doo so went w/ Redken Micro fiber which she generously added once finished and it feels so nice. On top of that she trimmed a tad more of the wavy bangs that curl once they grow a bit & asked consistently if this was what I wanted in a cut. Apparently she works at Aliante (only 1/2 further) & was visiting this site, closest to me, but aside from the fact that I'm moving that way in November, I'd go that way to get the same treatment again. Good job Pixie cutter! read more

The self care I didn't think I needed, I came into this specific location with high hopes for layers and bangs and I left without disappointment. The woman I had was amazing, and because I had a lot of hair she was very patient with it. She used products to lift my hair and made it feel lighter because I struggle with my flat, heavy hair. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name but she had blonde hair with some dark roots? Altogether, I found my salon. read more

I have always been incredibly skeptical of these kinds of "chain" hair stylists. But this one was the closest and was actually open on a Sunday so I decided to give it a go. The place was SO CLEAN! I was greeted immediately and booked within ten minutes. Mr. John was the fellow cutting my hair and he did SUCH and AMAZING job!!! I didn't really know what I wanted but I walked out of there 120% satisfied with my hair afterwards!! He was very kind and professional, and I was given some advice and tips on how to use hair products and how to keep my hairstyle out of the salon. I will be going back every month for upkeep. Thank you, John from Great Clips!! (-: read more

I normally go to Great Clips for trims and I've never had a problem, however, this was my first time at this location and I had a terrible experience. The customer service was good which is why I gave it a 2 instead of a 1 but their knowledge and skill as far as cutting hair was very very low. I was very specific with what I wanted and I provided pictures and both times they butchered me. I had two different people (Brandi and Jazmyn) and neither one of them could get it right. I will not be returning. read more

First of all let me say how much I love the Online check in! We arrived and let them know I had already checked in and we we're seen right away. I brought in my 2yr old toddler who isn't fond of haircuts and let me tell you Daniel was so amazing and fast! He was able to work around my screaming child and his swinging arms like the expert he shows he is. I couldn't believe what a great job he did taking into consideration my child was screaming the whole time. He was soooo nice and patient with him, he even cleaned his Lil buggies from all the crying he did and after it was all done he rewarded him with a lollipop he enjoyed. Thank you so much Daniel for the amazing haircut you gave my lil one. We will definitely come back to see him! read more

I guess it doesn't matter the estimated time when you check in on line. When I did it said 32 minutes. I get there early and check in and waited 40 extra minutes. I recommended a guy at a different great clips which is the one off of Decatur and 215 because the other ones keep fucking up hair. I strongly recommend don't go to any great clips because they really don't know how to cut hair or fix it. They get mad when u tell them to fix what they fuck up and than because they r that horrible they tell u u can't go to anyone they own. Here is a pic of a haircut the guy did yesterday and they won't fix it. The reason I didn't notice it yesterday is because he put gel in it. Lets make great clips famous for not knowing how to cut hair and their piss poor management. BTW the supposedly regional General man name is Leona. read more

I waited, and waited, and waited over what was supposed to be an hour according to the app I checked in with, to finally get my toddler his much needed haircut. this place has really gone downhill after the whole covid crises. Our favorite beautician brandy left, your asked to wait outside which I get, it is now the new procedure, but the girl that said shed give us a call to come inside when our apt was ready never did, I checked in with her when my app said we were up after waiting over an hour & she kept telling me a few more minutes, a few more minutes.. while taking her sweet time cleaning her station. A 2 year old can only wait so long in the sun after they keep telling you a few more minutes, there was no sense of urgency, no apology, I was so tired of dealing with these people that obviously had no customer service training, so I finally took my son and left. They could probably care less anyway they're paid by the hour, and you're literally just another number! read more

Honestly the worst service I have ever received. Only wanted a shampoo, trim and blowdry. Super easy cut, just wanted about 0.5 inch off and that went fine. The time came to blowdry and she starts using her fingers and my hair looks terrible so I ask if she can just use the round brush for my bangs and that's it. She says sure (mind you, my hair is almost "done" by her standards at this point) she proceeds to use the round brush in a few other areas. Hair still doesn't look great, but I think I'll just go home and fix it. Time comes to pay and somehow the total is 45 dollars because she "styled my hair". How? Because she used the round brush for less than one third of my hair. Not only that, my hair was still completely wet underneath. Would never return here. If you're going to charge more for using a round brush for a section of hair, you should tell the customer. Absolutely ridiculous. Waste of money. read more

When I need a haircut I don't like to spend too much time or money getting it done. This location is great for both of those reasons, and my stylist did a perfect job with my wavy hair too. The cut is only $14, which means I can leave a generous tip and still leave with way more money in my pocket than if I went to a regular salon. The wait is usually short too so all in all the whole hair cutting ordeal only takes about 15-20 minutes. They also keep record of what haircut you get so even if you forget what you liked, they will remember! read more

I'm very upset because i took my son today to get a haircut, he was letting his hair grow for months now and he only wanted to get his sides cut. One of the employees named ashley decided to cut his whole hair short. I even told her not to cut it short 4 times before i went to my car since I could not stay in the store. I think they should allow little kids parents to stay in the salon while they cut there hair so we can tell your employees if they are cutting it wrong. I asked to talk to a manager before i left but she was not there at the moment but i am expecting a phone call as soon as possible. This is the first time i did not pay, i don't feel good about it but I'm really upset and feel bad for my son since she messed up so badly. read more

My review is off the customer service that I received today. I made my 8 yr old son appointment online. We get here and there is a sign on the door that says appointment only call this number. So we open the door and the lady at the counter says you have to call the number. We step back outside I call while standing directly in front of the door. It rings 3-4 times I tell her we are here for our appointment. We stand outside till for 2 min and a man comes and tells us we can come in. My son gets in a chair and I'm standing alone in the lobby. The same rude female employee that told me I have to call for my appointment now tells me I can't stand alone in the lobby while my 8 yr old son is in the chair. As I'm walking out the door she say "it's the governor". As i was standing outside another customer walks out and says she was told to have her 3 yr old and 11 yr old wait in the parking lot while she got her hair cut! She walked off just as mad as me! Next the manager came out to speak with me. I asked the manager if she told another customer to have her children wait outside while she got her cut. Her response was "well they could of waited in the car" it's 90 degrees outside today and you want children to wait in the car alone?!? This will be the last time I come this great clips.
