Usually I don't trust people cutting my bags but she cut my bangs pretty well and also did amazing layers to my hair. I loved talking to her because she was a people person. Sometimes u get stylist who never talk to you or are just all around awkward and don't really know how to make a conversation. Anyways she did amazing with my hair and also shampooed my hair. I took advantage of their $7.99, Grand Opening in Imperial Beach promotion. This place is GREAT. All the stylists are friendly. I was able to walk in, get my hair cut and walk out in less than 30 minutes! My stylist, CRYSTAL, was fantastic. I was not too good at explaining what I wanted. She knew EXACTLY the cut I wanted. This place just open in imperial beach and I was really looking forward to go there but unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. The lady cutting my hair had no clue how to give me a fade , she even had to get her manager to finish my cut, and even made me feel like I was in the wrong for getting upset. read more

Crystal did an awesome job on my boy. We had many Mohawk Cuts by local barbers; And honestly there is no comparison. I was blown away at the detail to edges and buzz. So I decided to give this place a try since they were open until 7pm on Sunday, and I am so glad I did! Vanessa was the one that cut my hair and she was AMAZING! She is very detail oriented and she made sure that I understood what she was doing and that I liked it every step of the way. I think she could tell that I was so indecisive about how I wanted my hair and she didn't mind showing the lengths until we got to the shortness that I was satisfied with. I couldn't be anymore satisfied with the service and the work. I've been going to this great clips since it opened, and I usually just get a simple trim and everything's good and everyone's nice. But this time, definitely the worst experience. I'm sure it was just this one certain hairdresser, the thing on her mirror said Carmen T, but she spoke choppy English and it seemed hard to explain to her what I wanted. Every time I tried to explain something to her, she'd cut me off. I told her I wanted side bangs 3 different times while sitting down. She did a trim and took the cover off me like I haven't told her what I wanted multiple times. Once she finally caught on to what I even wanted (after she kicked me off the chair) the side bangs were at first a straight even chop! Like I could of done it with cheap scissors in my own bathroom! Are. You. Kidding. Me. I, the person with zero hair cutting skills, had to tell her how to do her job and to make it less like a chop off job. It seemed she had zero idea what she was doing and I was very uncomfortable. Either she is seriously this bad and miraculously got this job, or she needs to handle customers that can speak Spanish to her. Next time I go in, I will be doing all I can to avoid this hairdresser. read more

I wish yelp had a zero stars option because that's what I would rate this place if they did. When I walked in I told the hairstylist I wanted an inch or two of damaged hair cut off. She told me three inches which is reasonable, so I agreed. Once I sat in the chair she started asking me to tilt my head left, right, up, down and straight. I listened but it was odd. The entire time I was there, she was telling me how terrible my hair looked in a "v" shape so she (tried to) cut it straight across. The whole time she was cutting my hair, she was grunting, humming, and making weird noises. After the haircut was over she was telling me how much better it looked and how much fuller it looked, but my hair is three and a half feet long from the root, so I couldn't see when she handed me the mirror. Once I left, I had my sister take a picture and show it to me, and it is a MESS, it looks like she had never cut hair in her life before. It was uneven and just plain out enraging to me that I paid almost thirty bucks for a haircut when my six year old could have done better. read more
