This store is open on Mondays until 7:00pm, with that in mind I made sure to arrive so there was plenty of time to get my hair washed and trimmed. I checked in online and arrive at 5:50pm. Upon arrival I was not greeted and both of the ladies cutting hair looked haggard and exasperated that another customer had walked in. I waited until the stylist told me it was my turn. She asked what I was having done and I told her I would like a shampoo and a hair cut. Her response was "I can't do a shampoo, my back hurts". I told her okay as I was now too uncomfortable to explain I had been looking forward to this all day. Not a word was exchanged during the haircut. I paid, tipped $5 and left. I told my boyfriend of the experience and he told me I should write a review, I told him I had already left and did not catch the stylists name. My boyfriend then called the store and said, "my girlfriend was just in there for a haircut, can I have the stylists name as she did a good job and I'd like to book a service with her". The lady who answered the phone asked as condescending and told him in clipped words that "there are only two people working at this store, we don't remember whose hair we cut", when pressed by my boyfriend she finally asked what my name was and eventually told him she had been the one to cut my hair. The stylists name was Fran. My boyfriend then told her we would be writing a review about her demeanor and lack of service. At that she became much nicer and proceeded to utter multiple excuses. Part of me feels bad for even writing this review as I empathize with her back hurting but part of me thinks to refuse a service offered by your employer is not appropriate. This experience was disappointing and I will not be coming back to this great clips. read more

I tried to used a coupon advertised online to get a haircut for $8.99, and before getting my haircut I checked whether the coupon would be honored. I was told the coupon had expired even though I drove directly to Great Clips after checking in online. This is the third time I have not been able to use advertised coupons from Great Clips. So beware of their advertisements! read more

Save your money and go somewhere else!!! My parents had appointments, my dad was skipped because someone came in that the stylist knew so she took her friend instead of my dad (he is 71 by the way) so he had to go to another salon across town. They charged my mom $60 to wash and cut her hair. She could have gone to a BETTER salon with a better stylist (we usually do) had her hair cut, colored and styled for $70. Skip them, go elsewhere. You won't regret it. read more

My husband had his haircut today by Chanel (spelling?) at the Spartanburg Hwy location in Hendersonville, NC and to say he's upset is an understatement. He comes home to show me his new mohawk and it looked great until he turned around. Look how lopsided this cut is... completely unacceptable. He said Chanel (sp?) asked a coworker to come over and help because "my eyesight is bad"... now he's assuming she realized she messed up and needed help trying to "fix it". He paid for the haircut and tipped both women VERY generously, just to leave looking like this and to come home and have to shave his head because of this awful haircut. What a joke. Do better. read more

I've had two bad haircuts in my life me both have been at the Hendersonville location of Great Clips. I'm not picky at all but after today's disappointing haircut I'm done with Great Clips, especially this location. read more

I've been going to this Great Clips for nearly 10 years. I've had different stylists over the years, but for a few years have been seeing Brenda S. She's a great stylist--always trying to make sure she cuts my hair as I'd like. She's also a really lovely person! It seems most of the negative complaints have to do with online check in. FOLKS . . . this is the 21st century: rotary dial phones are no more. Learn to use an app! read more

Payed to have my children hair cut and she didn't do a good job. Had to take him to a Barber to have it straightened up.. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. read more

Fran did an absolutely amazing job on my sons hair. We are here visiting on vacation and last minute decides his long hair needed to go. My son is thrilled. It isn't easy to please a 16 year old. Thank you Fran you are amazing. read more

I am very happy with the cut Mary gave me. We discussed details first and she explained how she was going to cut each section throughout the haircut. read more

My stylist, Mary, seemed to be in a rush as soon as I sat down and was generally rude. She asked how I wanted my hair cut, and I showed a picture of myself with the style. She explained about half way through that she didn't have time to do any more, that she only had so much time allotted. Shouldn't that have been disclosed before hand?? Should I have left mid-cut?Won't be going back! read more

Yep sigh. Says walk ins welcome well thats a lie if you work for a living and dont check inn on line your screwed. Expect a long wait this sight also never keeps the same stylists i will never be back . Seems that just about every time someone is done the stylists spends 10 minutes on a smoke break. They should have at least two stylists to handle walk inns especially on friday . Better off trying a different location or a barber where first come first serve is the rule. read more

I Kept having to urge the gentleman to cut off more and more hair. He was very skittish when I said I wanted my hair cut short. I understand they go through training to do this but I assure you I knew what I wanted and I communicated it to him. In the end, I left before my hair was as short as I had asked for it to be. He was a nice gentleman but probably should not be in the business of cutting hair. Maybe he just lacks confidence. On the plus side, the price was right. Over all, I will not go back. read more

Took my four year old son in today for a haircut. Brenda was the stylist who cut his hair. She obviously lacks people skills- in addition to asking me when I was due, (I'm NOT pregnant) she was constantly rolling her eyes and scolding my child for moving around. His hair looked okay, but it wasn't the cut I asked for. If your child acts like a child, I would avoid having Brenda cut their hair read more

I have been here twice now. A little expensive if you ask me. 10 for a child's cut and 13 for adults. Maybe I'm just old school. I will say that they do very well cutting hair for a speedy place. If you don't like it or want a little change they do it without any problem or attitude. My kids also love it. You can also check in online so when you walk in your in front of the line. Love the technology. They seem to know their stuff. Will definitely be back at this place again. read more

I was in town for some family matters and really needed a cut. Brenda was great! Very professional and very nice to talk with. They could pull up the way I got my hair cut at the last Great Clips I visited so we had a good starting point. read more

Went in to get a haircut today with Brenda. I have been going to her for some time now. When I went in today we exchanged a few words and I waited for her to get done cutting someone else's hair. Another person came in after me and the lady who was at the counter told him that he was after me. When Brenda finished cutting the person's hair before me she called the other fellow even though she knew I was next. Well I want to let Brenda know that "there goes your $10.00 tip. Never coming back! read more

I can't even explain how upset I am over my haircut. I went in for a simple trim, I brought a picture to guide my stylist, and she nearly left me bald! I've never had a haircut go that wrong before. I even asked her to stop at one point and she kept snipping. I went in with a bob, just wanting to get it trimmed a tiny bit, and left with practically no hair. I will never go here again, I can't believe this lady has a job! She was also very snarky when I asked her to stop and seemed to enjoy messing up my hair so that was unsettling. If I could give negative 50 stars I would. read more

In my experience, this place is awful. I take my boys there or should I say used to. Today was the last time. There have been a few times that I've had to fix what the stylist did. Today's experience was all I could take. My son told her what he gets and she got an attitude about it! She said she would do it her way! Her way sucked! I now have to go somewhere to fix it. Of all the times we've been there only one person (young lady with dark bobbed cut) has been friendly. EVERYONE else acts like all the customers are a burden. No "hello how are you?", no "thank you and please come again" NOTHING! I would rather pay more money at a salon than be treated the way they treat people. read more

If you need a haircut and find yourself at the Great Clips on Spartanburg Hwy get back in your car and keep on driving. I got there at 5:30, no one acknowledged me and I didn't know the procedure so I sat down to wait my turn. A woman finally came over to me once she finished visiting with her friend to ask (growl) me if I had checked in online. Well, no, I hadn't, not even knowing that was required. She angrily asked me for my phone number and after the disgusted look I got she turned and walked away. I asked if I should come back another day. Her response was, "You just do whatever you want." She clearly did not want me there as a customer so I left. I won't be back. read more

This was my first and my last time at great clips.when I first arrived the wait was weirdly short and I notice that they did not take there time cutting the hair short I didn't think much of it because maybe that person wanted there to be short but not to short,After they told me they were ready I got a woman that was nice at first but then turned to her true colors after talking to me for thirty seconds she said "Are you Mexican" and I replied "Yes,I am Hispanic". After that question you could notice the change in her, she the. Now keep in mind that before this I had showed her a picture I wanted my hair to be like and then she told straight up that my would look nothing like this because, and I quote,"your people do have weird hair" now after this I was a little bit triggered because I am have white and I'm an American citizen and so is all my family so I don't think that (my people) Americans have weird hair.now when I told her I wanted a fade she completely ignored me and just cut my hair from the side like she wanted , I ignored this and the she proceeded to ask me if I wanted it cut from the top front, I said" just a tad", she made my hair short in the front and long in the back, at this point I was done and I told her that I didn't want my hair to be cut any more so she stopped.when I went to pay, this was the worst of it all she new I wasn't happy with my hair cut and for men it's 11 dollars and she looked me in the face and said "since I only did the sides, I will only charge 11 dollars".at this point I looked mad because she was acting like she was going to lower the price but she didn't.i left her a 2 dollar tip ,which now that I think about it I shouldn't have but my parents showed me manners when I was little unlike her.so this was my experience at great clips, I'm not saying that all great clips are awful but this isn't one of the better ones.after I left I quickly went to a hair salon that i should have gone to in the first place instead of great clips but I wanted to give Great clips a try. When I got there the lady said that she had one side longer than the others and completely ruined my top hair.so if you were thinking on giving this one a try I wouldn't recommend this Great clips. read more
