Maria the other hair stylist explained instead of taking their time to cut properly they just grabbed a chunk at a time and cut. Instead of sectioning out the hair to get an even cut. My family has been coming here for years to get their haircuts because they're usually pretty nice and quick. However, today, my brother went in for his usual haircut. He had mentioned there were notes under his name and profile of how he likes it cut and styled. The notes said, "3 inches long on top." Whoever cut his hair this afternoon did not take time to read the full description and instead used a n. 3 clipper all over his head, starting with buzzing it right down the middle. PLEASE double check with clients before cutting hair! It'll be his first year of college and he is devastated. Hair is an extremely important element for an individuals confidence and appearance. Unfortunately, my family will not be returning to this location because of this careless incident. I'd encourage the staff to make an effort on conversation and clarification about cuts prior to putting tools to hair. read more

Avoid this place at all costs! As soon as you walk in the door and get a look at the sloppy people working there, you will realize that you do NOT want to look like one of them. I guess this is why these places are no longer called beauty salons! Unless you are willing to hand over a LOT of personal information (which is NONE of their business!) such as a last name, a phone number, a cell phone number, a complete address and an email address, don't even go there. These slops get mighty huffy when you do not want to sign over your first born and they will delay you endlessly why they pretend to figure out HOW to process you in order to give you a simple haircut! No wonder the place is always empty when I go there. I called the owner who is apparently in Bakersfield (a hundred miles away!) and of course, he never returned my call. Real nice. I met Helen at a Women's Bible Study at Clovis Hills Church. She told me that she worked at Great Clips. I went home. That afternoon I signed in using their app. She was ready waiting for me by the time I got to the salon 20 min. later. Helen is very friendly and accommodating. She listened to how I wanted my hair cut and the she did it. For $15. Not my usual experience in a salon. Usually I say what I want then I am told why I cant or shouldn't have it and I'm charged upwards to $50. Helen is awesome. She is very professional and she knows her craft. The people in the salon where very kind and friendly and attentive. After I paid I was offered a coupon for next time. I will definitely be back. read more

They say they do walk ins, but expect at least a 90 minute wait on the weekends. Not very personable/friendly, unless you're a regular. Online check in I'd a joke. Quoted a 20 minute wait, wait was at least an hour. They only had two people working there, with 10 people waiting. Very friendly made an honest effort to please and get to know their clientele, I took a picture in of what I wanted my 7 year old's hair to look like, and they nailed it. First of all I went in yesterday with my daughter who's a year old, I wanted her to get a haircut. I asked the lady working if she cuts baby's hair and she said yes for me to have a seat. I waited maybe 8 minutes for her to finish with her client. Then has the nerve to tell me if I could come back later that the lady who cuts baby's hair comes in at 2:00. So I left and came back later, the lady was there, gave my daughter a haircut. I was so unhappy with the haircut and still got charged full price. She didn't cut much and didn't last that long. Anyway she was rude and I ended up paying and leaving no tip. I didn't appreciate that the first lady that I spoke to told me that she did baby's haircut and just tells me to come back later for the other lady. I do not recommend anyone to go here. I had an issue before with a manager Darlene. She scolded my daughter for taking 3 suckers instead of 1 from her pile of 500 or so. I told her not to ever talk to my daughter like that & if she needed my daughter (who was 6) to know anything she should talk to me her mother. She proceeded to tell me that all the kids that go in there never listen & always grab handfuls. I said well isnt that what you guys have them out for? She said she has to put them behind the counter at times so "certain" kids won`t take so many. Which "certain" kids she was talking about I do not know. She seemed to racist and rude when yelling at me. I asked her for the corporate # . So I called the owner Phil and explained what had happened. He claimed he would take care of her /send me coupons ect. I never heard from him again and Darlene continued to work there. SO I took my business across the street to Super Cuts. It`s a shame we were treated badly by workers & the owner. I do not recommend anyone go here for haircuts or any other service. I received the best haircut. I had Helena as a stylist and she was great. I've had a total of 4-5 different stylists cut my hair since going to this Salon, always excellent service, great haircut and friendly people. All in 15 minutes which I think is amazing! This lady Cut my 5 yr olds hair and did not crack a smile, was very rude.. told me my handwriting was really bad and basically told me I was cutting my sons hair too short because it's too cold. I have been bringing my son here for about 3 years....because it's close to home. Every single time I leave I say to myself I'm not going back. I can assure you we won't be back after today. He has never once had a "good" haircut here. Honestly, he's 8 and I really don't care as long as it's decent...He doesn't comb it anyway! What I can't deal with one more time are the nit wits that work there. I can not tell you how many times they didn't read the on line check in correctly, or have taken people that they didn't know had 3 people that needed cuts in front of us. It's a good place for haircuts, they are very personable and they are cool to talk to, unlike quite other stylists elsewhere. They do a good job, and their online check in option is awesome. Haven't had issues like others described, every time I've been here it's been an easy check in, they remember my information and the haircuts have gone without issue, always happy with the result. Store is kept clean, utensils seem to be kept clean as well. They have a pre-pay option that essentially gets haircuts at 9.99 but only at set times. Definitely worth it. read more

I have been using this location for a year and a half now. I have been pretty happy with my services up to this point. Yesterday I went in and made three very simple request to a lady that has never cut my hair before. I asked to trim the sides with a little undercut, shorten the left side to match the right and use the thinning shears on the back. As she worked her way around my head she proceeded to cut the right side and take away all of the undercut and left the left side extremely longer than the right. She tapered my hair instead of undercut. It is the worst haircut I've ever had unfortunately I didn't notice how bad it was until I left. I paid in full and left a tip. Luckily hair grows back fast and you can hide anything with enough gel so no real harm done. read more

We've been going to this Great Clips for years. Unfortunately, there have been so many times where we have felt that customer service is secondary and "wait" times projected on their app are so inaccurate that we have switched to Supercuts across the street. I really do like their stylists, but when I feel that I am inconveniencing anyone that I am paying by expecting good customer service like a smile, and sincere "I care about you as a customer" explanation when online wait time estimates are off by 20 minutes, it's time to switch. When I come all the way in to town from Sanger for a haircut, that wait time is critical. I don't mind waiting, but it's not on me for reasonably expecting those wait times to be slightly more accurate. read more
