1 star, only because zero isn't an option. I brought my 3-year-old son in for a haircut, and the stylist's very first words were: "If he moves, I will stop right there." No greeting, no asking if it was his first cut, no effort to make a toddler comfortable. Just a threat. We told her it wasn't his first haircut, and she still kept repeating it. A 3-year-old might wiggle. That's not a surprise, that's the job. If you can't handle kids, don't take them. They use sharp edge blade scissors. Plus , they give you attitude and they talk among the coworkers themselves using a different language @sian so they could be talking Smack! about you for all you know . Go to a salon. I decided to try this place yesterday 3/21/26, for the first time. A guy with black vest did my haircut. He did ask me how short I wanted, we agreed. Halfway during the haircut, I asked him if he can actually cut more on the side. His response was " that's why I asked you earlier " and you can tell he was annoyed. I've gone here several times because it was close to my home but this will be the last time. I always got the vibe that I was inconveniencing them by showing up. Never really felt welcomed here. This last time I went, my barber had headphones in the whole time and got me in and out within like 5 min maybe. Fastest haircut I've ever gotten. It was like she was trying to get me out of there as fast as possible, which unfortunately made the quality of my haircut not as good. I guess it will do, because my haircut is pretty simple but it always seems to look different from compared to the other location I go to. And it's not like there was a line. There was only one other person getting their haircut while I was there. Maybe it was just a bad day but it's happened consistently so I'm done here. I'd rather drive a little further to the other location. I've always gotten a better haircut, better customer service, and felt more welcomed at the other Fremont location. We only went because there was a promotional coupon code. They were extremely rude to me and my son. She started arguing with my son they can't do fades. Isn't fading like a fundamental concept in barber school? Then she did a terrible job and we had to go back to our old usual place to get it done PROPERLY. Despite a great review i gave 11 years ago, this shop has collapsed into a poorly run, low quality, "get 'em in & out as fast as we can" outfit. After multiple discussions with the franchisee, Flo, she continues to employ a manager and staff that have no idea how to cut hair and are consistently rude to customers. If I could give zero stars I would. I went there for my son's haircut and I asked the lady to line him up in the front. She argued with me to do it. Stated his hair would hide his line. I let her know that was fine. I still wanted it lined up. She sat my son down again and proceeded to line him up by chopping the front of his hair off. I looked over and there was chunks of hair flying. I yelled at her stop and she looked at me and said that was what I wanted. I let her know it wasn't what I wanted and she ruined his already uneven hair cut. I will never come here again. They need to be retrained before cutting anyone's hair. My friend and I got haircuts, my friend by Mina and me by Tran. The horror stories are true. Tran did not listen when I asked her to not touch the top. I trusted she knew what she was doing and was taking what I asked into consideration after I told her I ONLY wanted the back trimmed. I was growing all of my hair out to be the same length and it was pretty long already. I spent so long growing it, I got in the car and cried when I saw how much she cut off. Not only are the sides and top way shorter, but the backs still longer than the rest anyway, so she completely ruined my haircut. She did everything I didn't ask for. Mina shaved my friend's head on the back after he explicitly asked her not to. Mina was very forgiving and understanding about my friend and apologized and refunded him. But, when I went back in to express my discomfort with my hair to Tran, Tran was EXTREMELY unprofessional, rude. She was cursing, grabbing my hair in my face without my consent making me extremely uncomfortable while yelling at me, and essentially gaslight me she didn't cut anything off the top or sides. She told me I said yes to everything she did so she's not at fault that I'm upset, but I trusted she heard me when I told her over 4 times to NOT shorten the sides and top. I gave her leeway because she is the professional. I expressed my discomfort several times and was met with excuses, "it's just texturing", "i'm just evening it out", etc. But, DO NOT go to Tran to get your haircut. I agree with so many negative reviews here: the lady who checked me in was very rude and was shouting when I did not understood what she was asking. I decided to stay hoping that the employee who gives the haircut would be ok. She was another rude staff in this salon started yelling at me and commenting about my hair in another language to the front desk or the manager lady. I would avoid this salon as much as possible. Unfortunately I had a bad experience for going in this place. TN wasnt listening to my request. She discouraged me from my request and said, "no good." She seemed so lazy to do the cutting. I asked to fix my bangs and she said "no good." I said, it's still too long, can you cut more inches?, "no good." Finally, looking at the mirror, and I wasnt happy, I said can you cut on the sides? Have been going to great clips for ever and have never had to pay so much unless you are asking for a designer haircut or if it's for a woman's hair. 21$ for a boy of 12 yrs which took 3 mins for them is outrageous. Very bad service. I had 3 coupons printed out online. They would not honor any of those. The lady said the coupons are not for this location. The great clips coupon does not show any location code. They simply say coupon doesn't work. If the coupon is not working why great clips offer it in the first. Finally she tried one coupon and agreed for that after I insisted to try all coupons. This is the second time it is happening. I will not visit this location once more. Also, I asked her to cut my sons hair a little bit more in the front for which she said more than this she would not cut.
