My boyfriend went in for a haircut and honestly it didn't look the best. He was in the chair for thirty minutes and it wasn't exactly what he asked for. We checked in online and it was about a 45 minute wait. We entered the store when it was closer to his name being called. One lady was having a contest to how many people hair she could cut in 5 hours. She mentioned she was on her 22nd person. It was kinda strange. We had a better experience at the River Road location. Shay gave me the best haircut I have ever had. I am in my 50's and my daughter cut hair. Granted it is hit or miss but never really bad majority is good. There are long waits so get app and check in online. Next best thing is to go early and wait at door. Today they opened late due to staffing issues and another location didn't have enough staff so they won't be doing normal hours. More customers than staff should tell you something. I think one star is the lowest you can go. If I could go lower I would. We checked in on line at 3:45 it was to be 36 minutes and they would text us. We drove to Main St to be ready. I went to the bank less than a block away. Went to Tractor Supply (waiting for the text). Finally at 5PM I drove down and went inside, she was number 5 on the list. At 5:35 they came out and told her they were ready. My wife has health issues and can't drive, sitting in the car for almost 2 hours hasn't helper her at all. We will never set foot in Great Clips again. Next time I need a haircut I'm going to the new Sports Clips down the street. I went to the store to have my hair cut for a wigs for kids donation. I'm been growing my hair for 2 yrs to have it donated. When I got to the store (with donation form in hand) the man who was going to cut my hair seems frustrated that I was there to donate hair. He made it seem like it was an inconvenience for him. When I asked if he can do a few smaller ponytail bunches so it will yield longer hair for the donation, He rolled his eyes and said you are lucky to get two. " I'm only doing this to appease you" I guess is my fault for having such high expectations of common decency for a business. read more

If I could give no stars I would. The review are obviously written by friends , my boyfriend had a full fro and asked for the sides . The SIDES shaved down a bit and she did a whole shave down and at that made it uneven and on top of that let him walk out with it. Obviously these people are unprofessional. The students at my cosmo school do wayyy better than this. So unhappy with the service. Went in and all she had to do was look at him and she said " oh yeah, next time you come you will get a free haircut " . And well they can't mess up more than they already did !! I haven't been here in quit awhile as the haircuts seem to be getting worse. I decided after 6 months to give them another try on 2/23/2021 I checked in online and was the only customer there when I arrived. Michelle was the one who cut my hair and boy did she butcher it. I will have to let it grow out a little before I go somewhere else to have it reshaped.. I will have to ware a hat for a month at least. Very poor experience if I could rate this place in the negative I would. I will never go back there again and at one time I was a faithful customer. read more

Observations: was told an hour ago my turn would be in an hour. You put your name on a list though there are "no appointments". I notice that some at the bottom of the list are taken before some further up, so check-in online must count as an appointment even though they take none. I am still down the list. Long line, one stylist left. Kind of like at the post office. One more thing. If a family is ahead of you, they all get served first even though you see just one name ahead of you. Got a coupon, but will use my regular barber and pay more from here on out. read more

Went today with my husband who was going to donate his hair to Wigs for kids. Checked in online ahead of time with minimal wait time. Employee however was rude and condescending. Said he would "appease us" and cut it for donation even though they no longer did that since the pandemic. Also was not willing to cut in multiple pony tails to get the most length (for donation). We ended up leaving and will not return to that location. Had a great experience however at River Road location in Boerne. read more

Signed in online and was told 65minute wait. Got there an hour later and was number 9 on the wait list!! And there were only 2 stylists working!! One of the stylists was obviously annoyed by us walking in the door. My daughter begged me to not let the lady cut her hair, so we left. Disappointed! read more

HORRIBLE! I got the worst haircut of my life here. I love Chase but she was not in Saturday. We have had such a good experience with Chase that we thought we would be able to trust anyone there. I have been a resident in Boerne for 30 years and customer of great clips for over 10. In the recent months this establishment has begun to take reservations via Smart Phone Apps. While I appreciate the convenience this affords patrons for me personally this is a huge nuisance. One of the biggest draws this company has had is the flexibility to pop in at your convenience to receive a service. This is no longer the case. I now 'pop in' and find myself waiting in a line that doesn't even really exist, except on-line. I have always found the service good, the people friendly, but they fall into the category now of 'online service center' and that, for me, is a no win situation. Waiting list on the screen with about 10 people , only two employees working and taking their time instead of taking care of the customers. I have been waiting patiently for about an hour.
