Had an absolute horrible experience. Took my daughter in for a haircut. Asked for long wispy bangs and she ended up with short butchered bangs. I let the hairdresser know more than once to keep them on the longer side. Bangs were so uneven and short at the end. When I told her that I could have done a better job at home she said I was insulting her. Hairdresser even admitted that she had no idea what I was talking about and that she ignored what I said. Said I used the wrong term. I am not a hairdresser and if she was confused she should have clarified. I didn't catch her name but she had blonde and pink hair. Very rude and unproffessional. read more

Lia is the best at blow drying my hair. I have been going there for about a year now, been though a few stylist but so glad she is there. She is the best. read more

haircut was horrible, gave me a fuckass bob when we agreed upon something totally different. Do not ever take your children to a chain barbershop like this ever again if you want your kids to love and contact you when they move out. read more

Great Clips - they gave me atrocious bangs like this - Hair Salons Near Me - Barstow, California

My boyfriend has been here about 3x and he has always been happy with his cut! I finally gave the place a try. I have hair all the way down to my butt and I'm very picky with who cuts it! Deanna did a great job at making me feel very comfortable with cutting the length and offered suggestions on how to make it flow nicely with layers. I told her I was a new mom and I struggle with putting time/effort into my hair. The place was very clean and welcoming! read more

I wont go to anyone else but Megan! She is always super friendly and welcoming, always call ahead to see if she's working. Great salon overall. read more

First time at this hair salon for a quick trim. Super fast and friendly service and relatively inexpensive.

Customer service was terrible. I went in for a haircut and felt not welcomed at all. I immediately turned and walked out!

The wait time was long for but it was a Saturday. We got checked in and were told we could go and come back, that we would be receiving a text to notify us when it was 15 minutes prior to our turn. We got the text and arrive 5 minutes before the 15 minute mark. Woman working the register at that moment when we arrived was kind of rude. We told her we gave her our names and she'd was kind of rude with her tone and said "well you guys have to be checked in" we told her we were, she confirmed our last name and another worker came up and told her she checked us in. She responded with "oh I just removed you guys"... like okay, couldn't wait the full 15 minutes? But whatever, Diana stepped in, said we'd be next. Super friendly. We had a 4 year old and autistic 2 year old getting their first ever professional haircut. She did wonderful with both. She especially had so much patience with our two year old and did a great job on both hair cuts. Will definitely we going back because of her! read more

This was our first time going out for haircuts as a family...ever. This Great Clips just reopened and are celebrating their Grand Opening now because they could not due to getting shut down by the Covid-19 pandemic. All the stylists were so nice and helpful. They even helped each other to get us all checked in as quickly as possible. We walked in with one check-in (done in advance using their app) and added our son's haircut (and my dad) also. Two gentlemen walked in after us and were politely asked to step outside after they were checked in (so to keep with customer limits). My son was comfortable with Brenda who seemed accustomed to cutting little kids' hair. She was quick with her scissors and clippers. I admired her patience as my little guy kept turning his head to see what she was doing. He is so curious. She fixed his (homemade) mullet into a cute little boy cut. Although I have seen that the modern mullet is back in style, I'm not crazy about it! I like the clean-cut look on my guys! My husband was equally happy with his haircut. His stylist was Tamera. She took care to give a trim that was what my husband asked for specifically. He can be particular about his hair, so the fact that he would definitely go back there says a lot! The best part was that we had no wait. My hubby was taken back first, then my dad, and finally my son. My son just had a minimal wait for his chair to get cleaned up. Of course, I didn't mind at all. He enjoyed watching his dad and my dad get their haircut, so he was ready when it was his turn to sit in the big chair (with a booster). Brenda did a fantastic job and my son was mostly cooperative - considering he is a toddler and learned how to say, "No!" Haha. My dad was happy with his cut and was gleaming afterwards. His stylist was Lena. She was fast! read more

Where do I start I been coming here since the pandemic started and the first time they did a good job. After a while they didn't take time and just worry about getting people in at that point . My son hair was all mess up and not what we show them. My daughter got her hair cut there and she ask for layers and that didn't happen either . They didn't cut anything and it look uneven she didn't like her hair either . Now my family doesn't go there anymore because it's a waste of money and time they didn't do their job . I rather drive to Victorville to get my kids hair cut that they like and look like what's on the photos. I hope that they hire more staff that know how to cut hair and read this review sorry for low ratings I didn't want to give a one that be just rude. read more

usually service is good today there was a new girl. Service was horrible from the haircut to the attitude after I addressed something I didn't like. Asked for a line up that thing was round i asked for someone else to finish it up again attitude. We're usually in and out of there within 20 min max today took a lot longer ver disappointed. thanks to the other girl who tried to fix it she even knew it wasn't right. Still got charged read more

Fed up and frustrated with my hair which was two damned long and thick, I checked in on line. Got there about ten minutes early, but there were chairs and so I just sat down. Place was cool, which was nice since we're in the middle of California Heat Sink here in Barstow. It felt clean. When I was up, my stylist and I chatted for a second about what I was looking for, and she had the notes from previous visits, already. Figured out what I wanted and actually delivered it...no glitches, no bites, very clean razor and guides and I was very happy when I left. Looked like what I want it to look like. Now, this is between the old First Sergeant semi-high and tight every ten days or so whether I need it or not and what I was at the time. So, without a picture or specs, she did a great job. I had the same stylist for ten years down in Apple Valley until she decided to change careers and has transitioned out. So, I'm not exactly sure who did my hair, but if they did appointments, we'd have lined one up before I left. Frankly, that's my major complaint against the place...no appointments. read more

Great Clips - What I wanted it to look like and she was right on. - Hair Salons Near Me - Barstow, California

Stopped by for a simple hair trim because I was tired of being charged $ 40 plus for a simple trim by greedy hair salons in Barstow. Offered to pay cash. Was told by the cashier she could not proceed without her " creating a profile" of me which required my being asked a series of questions irrelevant to my just getting a simple trim. What happened to just being able to get a trim at a reasonable price without all the bull. No wonder businesses don't last. read more

I went in on a whim as we're new to the area asking for a straight haircut nothing fancy I asked for neck length hair which should have been about 3 inches , well as confident as the hair dresser seemed I sat in the chair trusting this women . She took the first snip to the back of my hair and took over 5 inches and kept going I let her continue as there wasn't much I can do at this point she left one side noticeably longer then the other so i made sure to point it out if not she would have confidentiality left it as it was so she continued to snip away until I was left with hair up to my ears still uneven with long pieces hanging and just completely botched , as a professional id think you'd take more pride in your craft and art! To at least have the courage to stop if you notice you're unable to do what was asked for , but no she kept going and said and I quote "LOOKS PRETTY STRAIGHT TO ME" ‍ IF YOU FIND ANYTHING WRONG JUST COME BACK TO FIX IT! At this point I was completely at a loss for words and just paid and left which to he honest I shouldn't have . I absolutely do not recommend this place these people need proper training and some INTEGRITY and HONESTY if they are unable to do something say it! There is no need to ruin someones hair! Im utterly disappointed and just plain blown away at how bad a so called certified esthetician can F**k up a straight hair cut this bad! At this point it's humorous as to how bad crap looks im out here looking like lord far-quad haha it's completely embarrassing .. anyway I'll definitely be getting this fixed of course else where lol With that being I definitely do not recommend!! Unfortunately didn't catch the so called hairdressers name but she was a heavy set women with long hair with blue in it and bangs .. best way I can describe her ‍ read more

Have been.there several times and was happy. Now they are understaffed their online check in is a pain.to deal with with outrageous wait times. I went there today FOR THE LAST TIME TO TRY TO GET A HAIRCUT. And they are closed during regular hours. MY ADVICE.. FIND A NEW PLACE TO GO TO. read more

Love it here kat and Diane are the sweetest and do a incredible job !!! I would totally recommend coming here .

The stylists at Great Clips always listen to me and give me a great haircut. I love the location.

A few months ago I went in with my daughter to get our hair done ill never go here again I wanted a medium length bob for me and my daughter I got what I can only describe as a aline Bob mix my hair was chopped. So uneven its ridiculous I can't do anything with it my daughters is not straight at all the worst part is we had 2 different people so the hairdressers both have no skill in my opinion. Avoid this business at all cost read more

I went to our local Great clips yesterday because my hair was so long that I could no longer handle it. A lovely young lady took me promptly upon my arrival with no wait time. I had brought a picture of what I wanted and she made it look even better than the picture I brought of how I wanted it cut. Alison was personable and took her time cutting my hair to help achieve the look I wanted. I was thrilled with my new haircut and plan on repeat business at this location. They are amazing. read more
