I come to this area for business and there's not a lot of food options, so this is a great place to get away from eating McDonald's all the time. It definitely competes with other Americanized Chinese restaurants in the city. Service was phenomenal and their hot tea was some of the best I've had in the Midwest. It is your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. Conveniently on the main street with adequate…read moreparking. Minimal decor inside, restrooms complete opposite of the counter, and only half the menu is on the wall. So if you are a first timer you may want to grab a to go menu for the full array. It is order at the counter but they do bring you your order. Also conveniently they serve the entrees in to-go boxes whether you order dine in or take out. I like that. Paper plate for the appetizers. The crab rangoons while filled appropriately, in my taste, did have a weird taste to it. I can't put my finger out it even now looking back. They were alright though. Not going to order them next time if I come in though because of that. Which is sad considering thats like prime number one for Americans to order at Chinese restaurants lol. Also my favorite so, disappointing. The entree I got was good. The steak texture was mushy? If that makes sense... I could tell what it should've been but it was just very soft... my steamed rice was very pressed and overly steamed in several spots where it lost recognizable rice shape. Which is whatever I mean I ate my whole entree mainly as leftovers later. The dumplings were crispy and good. Decent and average. Not stellar but worth it you're in the mood for Chinese.

After all, the menu does say "(Dine-in, Buffet & Take Out). I figured I would give it a go and see if I could get further than she. I too, was not wanting to eat from the buffet. Being by myself might have helped as when asked for a beverage, they were trapped so I could place a special order. I ordered Almond Chicken. What came out was not what i know to be almond chicken. Instead it is what you see in the picture. I couldn't eat it. After a few minutes I asked for the bill. They noticed that I hadn't touched the dish or the rice and were very nice about asking me about it. The lady running the register, told me that she couldn't let me go without something. So I said I'll take a look at the buffet. For which I did, so she ended up just charging me for the buffet. I thought that that was really decent of her. I told her what almond chicken was to me for which she told me that what I know as almond chicken is actually Springfield country chicken (deep fried chicken breast, gravy with almonds shavings on top). So, if you come in and want what my version of almond chicken is... Make sure you ask for Springfield Country Chicken. I'm glad they set me straight. From the buffet I grabbed honey chicken, general tsao and fried rice. The buffet was actually very good. I will go back next time I'm in town.
