I came here to check out Winners and spent some time browsing. Over the course of my stay in Steinbach, I visited it regularly. I like the Winners here. I was pleased with my purchases. The downside was that there weren't a lot of women's size 11 shoes. This mall has a Dollarama. Its hours of operation are different (it opens at 7 am) than the mall's. The Sobeys is cool. It has its own entrance next to the mall entrance. It also has different hours of operation, which makes sense why it has its own entrance. I looked at a ton of freezies, along with fresh produce and fruit. I liked looking at photos and learning about the mall's history. They are on the wall, by an area in which you can sit down. Self-guided learning is awesome! I learned that this mall was established in 1980. There was a photo of the mall sign being erected. This mall is 45 years old this year! It's cool to that this mall is the largest one outside of Winnipeg and Brandon. It had everything that I needed while I was here. There are some stores that are a part of this mall, but are separate from it. I've been to McDonald's, Starbucks, Walmart, and Staples. All of them comprise the mall, but mainly face highway 12 and are detached from it. I probably spent the most time at Starbucks and McDonald's to get drinks. Walmart was great getting snacks and fruit. I browsed around Staples and didn't buy a thing. It's a decent mall in Steinbach. It had everything that I needed while I was in the city. (234)

On Sunday, I was in Transcona after I had landed at the airport. I was in the area for lunch. Afterwards, I needed to get some drinks and food. I did a search for a drugstore and got this Rexall. It was straightforward finding it. There was lots of parking. I pulled into a parking spot and walked in. Purses and scarves greeted me. I got to the beauty section. I noticed a female security guard. I didn't think that this area needed one. I saw a female customer standing at the Canada Post counter. Another female shopper and I looked at the hours of operation. It closed at 4 pm on Sundays. It was closer to 4:30 pm, so we let the woman know that she should come back tomorrow. It's the kind of gesture that I have missed being away from Winnipeg. Everyone helps everyone. It's nice. I found the pop section. I didn't see the sale price that should have been on the six-pack bottles of Coke and Pepsi products. I decided to get a case of twelve cans of pop instead. Well, on the other side of the freezers, there were more six-pack bottles and I saw the sale price that I had expected. I wish that this price was posted in both areas. I put away the case and got two six-pack bottles of Diet Coke. I also got a box of M&M Food Market cabbage rolls from the freezer that were $6 off. I also got a bottle of water for my travel humidifer. I got to the checkout. I got Tammy, who was terrific. She let me know that I could redeem $20 towards my purchase. I said yes. I paid $2 for my items. Sweet! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. She asked me if I needed a bag. I was fine hauling my four items to my rental vehicle. I thanked her and left with my goods. I put away my items when I got to my vehicle. I brought an insulated bag, so the cabbage rolls went in there. My other reusable bag was perfect for my bottled water. I liked shopping here. I'd return again when I'm in Transcona. (281)

I did a search and found this Giant Tiger on Main Street. It was maybe an eight-minute drive from where I was staying. I came here on a Monday. It's located in a plaza, across from a Chinese buffet. I had no problem finding parking. I parked and walked in. I knew that this store was a good one when I saw Old Dutch popcorn twists. They are yummy and you don't have to deal with the hull getting stuck between your teeth. However, each hull has fibre, so you do get that tradeoff. Anyway, the twists now come in salted toffee. I grabbed a bag. OMG! They were so good that I ate the entire bag when I got back to my hotel room. Oops, but so yummy! I came for fruit. I got a bag of plums. They were smaller in size, which was perfect to have a couple each day. They were the perfect ripeness. I just finished the bag. The grocery section is cool. I saw produce while I was looking at fruit. The dairy section had lactose-free milk, eggs, and more. I saw frozen pies, and racks of ribs that you heat and eat. It had everything that I like. I ended up getting a Canada t-shirt. I forgot to pack my Canada t-shirt for Canada Day. I like that I paid $10 for it and didn't break the bank. I wore it all day the following day. It was comfy and fit nicely. There was a bit of a lineup at the checkout. A man was using the only self-checkout kiosk that was operational. I ended up getting a human. There were two women cashing folks out. I got a nice woman who rang up everything. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I declined getting a bag. I carried my goods to my vehicle and put them in my reusable bag that I brought with me. It's a good store. I'm glad that I found it for my grocery, snacking, and t-shirt needs. (232)

Lots packed into this mid sized mall! The renovations make the mall look brand new…read more There seems to be everything here making it a pretty well rounded spot for gift shopping. The food court is also quite large. The walkways through it however never cut strait through and end randomly so it's hard to navigate. As a guy shopping with a few ladies, I appreciate all the 'boyfriend benches' scattered about. Very comfy:)

When I was a Winnipeg resident, I was a mall person. I had two favourite malls in this city: Polo…read morePark and St Vital Centre. I am more of a outlet mall shopper these days. However, returning to this city on vacation as a sentimental ex-Winnipegger, I hung out at this mall for seven hours. The mall person returned. It's still in me. I hadn't been to this mall since 2016, so it was worth the visit. It's a decent mall. It's a medium-sized one in that there's only one floor. Hudson's Bay (it has a Zellers!), London Drugs, Walmart, and Dollarama are your anchor stores. In 2016, I spent a lot of time and did a lot of damage at London Drugs. On this visit to the mall, I didn't visit any of these stores. I wanted to check out the other stores that I had missed. SilverCity, Hudson's Bay, Purdy's Chocolates, and Indigo were stores that I recognized. They have endured the test of time. I like them a lot. Everything else was new. I could picture the old HMV and Branigan's restaurant when you first enter mall entrance 3 and hit the food court. They are gone. The food court is still excellent. I had a late lunch at Koya Japan and my meal was excellent. I visited a bunch of stores that I had never been to at this mall. Miniso. SoftMoc. Sephora. Claire's. They are all cool stores that I enjoyed visiting and making some purchases. There is a lot of parking at this mall. It may get nuts during Boxing Day or week or month. I have never had any issues parking at this mall. This mall has an Earl's restaurant. I last dined there in 2016 and loved it. There's also Sushi Gozen by London Drugs that I'd like to try someday. I recently met up with a couple of friends here. We caught up over some Timmy's drinks and snacks. It was nice and a memorable, happy experience. It's a decent mall. It has houseware, electronics, cosmetics, and a small number of grocery items. I drop by this store whenever I am in town. There is plenty of parking at this mall. I walked into the mall and London Drugs was staring at me. It's next to a sushi restaurant, which I have flagged. I recall the RBC ATM at London Drugs. It was modern, but only allowed cash withdrawals. It is by the store entrance, on the right when you're walking in.. I immediately hit the cosmetics section. I loved all the nail polish and lipsticks. The selection of brands and colours was great. I got lost in housewares. I love small appliances. I have no idea how that happened. Anyway, it has everything from frying pans, to hot dog toasters and steamers. I wanted to get the Peanuts hot dog steamer, but didn't know how to bring that back on a plane! I love this store's electronic section. I love looking at laptops and accessories. There was also an extensive DVD section and I hope that it's still there. The electronic section is in the far left corner when you walk through the store entrance. Next to this section is the cell phone and television area, where you can get them and accessories. It's a cool place to be. It was summertime. Naturally, I had to look at food-shaped pool floats. The chocolate-covered pretzel pool float looked pretty cool. I ended up getting two huge bottles of Minions banana Tic Tac candies. They were cute and tasted yummy. The cashier who help me out was friendly. There were a couple of people in front of me. In Winnipeg, it was this location on Pembina Highway, near the University of Manitoba. It's in a plaza that I used to frequent eons ago. It was nice to head back here a few times during my stay. There is plenty of parking in front of this store. I always found a spot steps away from the main entrance. This store carried the light line of Kipling bags. I saw a nice backpack. The downside to this light line is that it doesn't make certain pockets padded for your laptop. I still like my Kipling backpack with padding. It's still lightweight. This store also had Kipling handbags. They were nice, but were too small for my needs. The PopSockets section was great. I ended up getting a ramen one, which I am currently using. I also got a clear MagSafe one, which is cool changing things up. I managed to get a couple of small Squishmallows at great prices here. I got a frog and a beaver. I am looking at them right now. Adorable! Last summer, I got a tongue cleaner at a Winners in Ottawa. This store in Winnipeg had stainless steel ones. They don't compare to the copper ones that I bought in Ottawa for both my dad and me. Copper is great. The plastic ones also do the trick to keep your tongue clean. I find that the stainless steel ones don't do as great of a cleaning job. There's my review on tongue cleaners from Winners. Bonus content. Enjoy! I saw some cute mushroom lamps. It would have been nice to have brought back one, but it wasn't lightweight. The kitchen accessories were cool to look at. I loved everything from training chopsticks, to pineapple-shaped ice buckets. The shoe section was decent. I liked seeing a bunch of size 11 footwear for women. The Crocs with fuzzy lining looked hideous. I bet that they felt great wearing them! Staff at the checkout were super nice and helpful. I never had any issues having my TJX Canada STYLE+ barcode scanned from my phone. I paid with either a debit or credit card. All went well. It was nice shopping here a handful of times. If you're in a hurry, you aren't going to find what you're looking for. Check back often because items are always changing. Make sure to try things on. There are so many different brands here that everything will fit in a different way. Its a great place to find designer items like Michael Kors and Calvin Klein at discount prices. Also a great place to find one-of-a-kind pieces as well. Winners isn't only about clothes, either. They have accessories, shoes and great home decor. I've purchased many picture frames, blankets and pillows for my apartment decor at great prices.
