To be honest I don't feel like I received any help or guidance from the therapist/counselor I was assigned other than I should seek the services of an alcohol treatment program which was very expensive. Ultimately for me anyway finding folks who would listen to me, and help me work through what I was going through made a huge difference in my life. I would have thought that would be the kind of help you would get from a practice such as this, unfortunately that wasn't my experience. More than that, I'd say she saved me on a couple of occasions. The entire staff here is fantastic. Beth, the receptionist, always greets me by name and with a smile, and she's incredibly professional and efficient. Dr Spence is a child psychologist who specializes in neuropsychology and she has given me tremendous insight about my child. My counselor leska has also seen my oldest daughter and my husband, and they both think she's wonderful as well. I would not spend time here unless you want someone to falsify your medical record and harm you for months then pretend like they thought they were helping. The people who worked here are absolutely delusional and to have to move states to get away from their harm and to see they tried to send their advice when I had tactfully ended things and secured proper care. You would not believe how ill equipt these people are to solve meaningful problems and you do not need to be lobotomized out of your independence to subsidize them. Here's all the advice you need. Go see a nutritionist. Work out. Cut off problem people who impact you and your wallet. Cut off anyone who lies as much as these people. To get rid of 100% of your problems- stay away from Christians and people who think they know better than you FOR you. I have to say after living in New York and DC, having someone's nose up your crotch or in your mind is the definition of hell. Not only was I suprised that "projects" were considered a mental illness. Did you know that that's what engineers are paid to do? Did you know for my job debate was important? Were you aware that critical thinking was never my downfall? I've also seen one of the nurse practitioners in the practice and he was great as well. I also have several friends who use this practice and they love it as well! The receptionists are all friendly and efficient. The building is large and comfortable, it feels like you're in someone's (large) home and I always feel at ease there. Like any successful practice, there is typically a wait to get in, so call early to get seen!

They offer both homeopathic medicines as well the standard medications. Dr. Jimmeh (who sadly left during COVID) was the most knowledgeable and helpful, she was one of the best pain/neurologist doctors I've seen ever. The staff is always helpful, and easy to work with, Especially when BC/BS messes with medication coverage. Sadly after Dr. Jimmeh left I was put with another doctor, him and I didn't see eye to eye and my confidence in the Doleys clinic lagged. I may have left but I would still very much recommend them as one of the few good pain clinics in the Birmingham area. He gave me a prescription for a med and it worked good and then the next refill, my current pharmacy changed manufactures and the it made me feel very sick. I called and left a message to let him know and he suggested that we send it to a different pharmacy which worked out the first time. Last month, he sent the med to the wrong pharmacy and I have been trying to contact him since. No response, the pharmacy reached out to him several times and he won't answer. Why would you put someone on meds and just stop responding? This med is horrible stopping and then starting again. I won't be back.

My doctor tried to talk to someone higher up to get me a subsidized rate for community therapy and the guy said that I "would be greatful unless I paid for it." He also said that I wasnt having hallucinations. I was diagnosed with a psychotic disorder and hospitalized not long after.
