My future daughter-in-law was under his care through her entire pregnancy. She had an appointment scheduled on a Friday morning to talk about scheduling her induction. Funny thing--her water broke that morning. Like any sane person, she called the office to let them know. Of course, it went to a messaging service. She left a message saying, "Hey, I'm in labor." You'd think that would raise a red flag. Instead, a nurse from Dr. Kurtz's office called her back later asking why she missed her appointment. Why? BECAUSE SHE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL HAVING A BABY. But wait--there's more. When she asked if Dr. Kurtz would be delivering her baby, the hospital let her know he was out of town. That's strange, because the whole reason we were planning an induction for Monday or Tuesday was because he wasn't supposed to leave until Wednesday. So... was he out of town early? Or just choosing not to come? Either way, it was a slap in the face to a first-time mom who thought she'd be supported by her own doctor. Look, I get that doctors are busy. But if you can't follow up with patients properly, communicate when you're not even going to be in town, or at least act like you give a damn during one of the biggest moments of a patient's life--maybe you're in the wrong field. I'll be finding a new doctor. So will my daughter-in-law. Because we deserve better than this half-assed excuse for care. This provider…read moreactually took the time to sit down, listen to my concerns, and explain some of the changes that have happened since my last visit. It was an amazing experience, one that I have not had since pre-COVID where I felt I was actually being listened to and heard by any of my providers. I will definitely be following Belinda wherever she goes, as she is normally not in the Lawrenceburg office. The best part is she made me laugh. The nursing staff has always been amazing. I can never find fault with the girls in this office. Truly phenomenal care all the way around. They always ask about my family. Shanda always cracks me up with her wit. The whole vibe of this office is warm, inviting and more like going to visit with friends than being at the doctor. The decoration for seasons is always on par. The color palette for the office, the pictures on the walls are all superb. Lastly, when Angie at the front desk retires, it will be a sad day. She will be sorely missed. She's always been friendly and helpful to me when I have needed anything.
