This a nice quiet little park, just a few blocks away from downtown. I can't say how much its normally used (since it's so close to Transy campus, I would assume quite a bit). This weekend my wife and I attended the Mayfest Arts Festival. I will definitely be back. A ton of local arts vendors (prints, paintings, pottery, jewelry, crafts) selling their wares at ridiculously low prices. I really enjoyed how most of the booths were set up around the park instead of right in the middle of it, so if you needed a moment to cool off and rest, there was plenty of space available. Lots of food vendors attended this event as well, including lots of locals, such as Thai & Mighty, Crank & Boom, and The Cheezy Mac. There was also a small petting zoo, featuring goats, sheep, alpacas, and a bunny. Yep, just one bunny.
I can't speak for this park most of the year, but during the yearly Mayfest Arts Festival, it is a delight. read more
