Buyers beware !!!! It's a bait and switch. They mislead buyers saying it's a three year loan it's…read moretheir hook and it's a lie. Read and reread before you sign. Better yet RUN. Biggest mistake I ever made in buying a car was going to Sullivan.

"caveat emptor" I cant recommend this place. Please stand clear…read more I am real person, no bot, paid or solicited review. This is a genuine accurate description of my encounter with this place. This is an ongoing situation and I will update as the situation warrants. 2/28/2025 I literally just purchased a vehicle from them today. No more than 15 minutes or so FROM LEAVING THE LOT, driving home to AC on the parkway the transmission starts acting up. I to press the accelerator and the car wont move. Just rev. If you press it down dangerously far (pedal to the metal) it slowly starts to creep up. I try my best to safely make it home dealing with the issue best I could. Once home, I put it in park. There's a loud thud and jerk just going from P to Drive. Clearly it is some transmission issues. I immediately called the sales person from the number he was texting me. He instructed me to contact service. Service tells me in a rather somber tone, its not much he can do until Monday at best and that's just to look at it. Given it is transmission related who knows how long it will take to get repaired if that was the option I wanted to take. At this point I called the office and spoke to a lady name Abby. She repeated the instructions to contact service. When I let her know i just bought the car, they cant even look at it until Monday and this was not acceptable, she appeared to be empathetic and said she would speak to management and call me back. I started writing this review from the time I was waiting for her to get back to me. I will upload a video if it works here if not fb page will be public just to leave the video for the world to see. RobertLaquan is the name. Good thing I used my card. This whole deals feels fraudulent. There is no way the car was properly inspected with tranny problems. How can I then trust the same people to fix the car who either missed the issue the first time or did a poor job fixing it before selling it. I would like my money back as the service department is coming to get this lemon as we speak. Also, while I was in there making my purchase, the dudes in there were heavy handed with the solicitation of positive reviews. maybe the people write what they really feel. But I can say being encouraged to do a review on the spot in the office feels wrong. EDIT about 20 minutes after this review was posted ms abby did call me back and agree to refund my deposit essentially voiding the deal. Clearly not an ideal transaction, but kudos for fixing the wrong. I'll wait and see how long it takes for the money to hit my card. Best of luck to you all. Its tax time so just be careful ppl.

I traded in my former car there for a Honda CRV. All went well until my battery failed after 5 years which was normal and I replaced it. it worked well for several months. Then the battery failed and I had to get it jumped. The weather was cold, however we have 4 other CRVs on my street, all of them except i are older than mine. None of them are having problems with the battery. Ive had problems with the battery not starting. I purchased the battery last summer, so it is not old. When I brought it to Avalon Honda they put in on a charging machine for 3 hours and said it was not fully charged and could take as long as 5 hours but did not offer any means of transportation. I could not wait any longer, and asked why a relatively new battery was such a problem. The Manager JOE and Service Manager Ross both said it was because I drove the Car on short trips and not often enough to give it a chance to recharge as most Senior Citizens do. I find this explanation highly offensive and discriminatory. I believe I was sold a LEMON Battery, because the others on my street have not had this problem. I purchased my CRV, believing it would serve me for many years. I have it serviced as required. So, as you can see, I am miserable in this situation. One-star rating is not low enough to rate this kind of treatment to a faithful customer. Rosalie Herbig Yes I am a Senior Person and should not have to deal with this type of issue

We went to 4 dealerships in the past 2 weeks to look at used cars and wow this place takes the…read moreplace FOR THE WORST experience. We had an agreed upon price before we departed for this dealership, and we were assured there were no other dealership fees. We made an appointment to see this one specific car, and warned them we were coming from 2 hours away with our 5 year old and 1 year old with congenital heart defect. We arrived, got assigned to a sales rep at 5pm. Asked to see the one and only car that we scheduled the appt for. They took 20 minutes just to find the key, and then they said they needed to bring the car over from another lot. I asked how far is the lot, and they said 10-15 mins, so I said ok, 30 minutes until the car arrives and he said no, more like 20. After 6pm I said we've been waiting over an hour to just see the car (and my 1 year old screaming for the past hour wearing his mask), and he said 10 more minutes. After 20 more minutes, I asked again, and he then called someone, and then informed me the car needed a battery replacement and that it would be 10 more minutes. After another 20 minutes of screaming children, I inquired again and the rep said another 10 minutes. I explained I know it's not his fault, but we have been told "10 minutes" 4 times and it's been over TWO HOURS just to see the car that we had an appointment to see. He was clearly annoyed with me and responded, "well here's the text that says they're on the way." Well, 2.5 hours later the car finally arrived and the bumper is literally hanging off, there are multiple warning signs flashing on the screen, there is a dent on the door, and scratches on the side panel. Not only that, they added a $695 "prep fee" even though they previously told us there were no additional dealership fees on top of what they provided previously. Total bait and switch at this dealership. We drove 2 hours for this deal, they forced us to wait 2.5 hours just to see this 1 car, and they absolutely failed to deliver on their end. At the end they offered to take the prep fee off (which is not a favor when they falsely told us this fee didn't exist), and tie on the bumper, but we would have to come back and make the drive again for a car with a dented door and scratches panel and bumper. To anyone considering to travel for a used car at this dealership like us, trust the other 1 star reviews - DON'T DO IT.

Disappointing review after a frustrating experience with Maserati of Monmouth. To provide context,…read moremy significant other is a mechanic, and I have worked in long-haul transportation for over a decade. On March 13th, I contacted Stephanie at Maserati of Monmouth about a used vehicle and arranged to pick it up at 9 AM on March 14th. I live 2 hours away and wanted a quick process. However, when I arrived, I was informed the car was at their other dealership, Freehold Mitsubishi, due to poor communication between their team. After waiting over 3 hours, we were driven to Freehold to test drive the car, during which the check engine light came on. We diagnosed the issue ourselves in their service bay, and they assured us the car would be repaired and delivered promptly. Isaiah was our sales person. He's also the owner's son. Despite being told the repairs would be expedited, by March 18th, I learned they hadn't even ordered the necessary parts until that day--three full days after identifying the issue. After more delays and poor communication, the car was finally ready for pickup, but we arrived to find the tire light still on and the gas tank only half full--unacceptable for a purchased vehicle. We left after 8 PM, exhausted, after spending several days on this. This experience has been a huge waste of time, energy, and money. I will not recommend Maserati of Monmouth to anyone and will advise others to avoid this dealership due to their unprofessionalism and broken promises.
