The prices are substantially cheaper than anyone else in town hands down. They charge a low flat rate for a round trip fare, meaning you pay them when they pick you up and if they take you to the bar you can call them at 2:00 A.M. And they will come get you and take you back home! I believe it is a flat rate of $10 round trip anywhere in Valdosta. That's what I paid. It is $7 one way. The driver I've always gotten is Felix and he's cool as hell. Real nice guy. This company has my full endorsement.

Irvin and Linda are incredible innkeepers who genuinely care about every guest's experience. We stayed in the "Patriot" room, and it was a beautiful room with Americana decor. While it's a tiny downtown, The McKey is walkable to everything of note. Its base floor is both a morning cafe with fantastic breakfast/coffee (gud coffee) and an evening wine bar (oak and live), but our room on the 3rd floor was quiet and we didn't even hear neighboring rooms once. The floor had a cart with water, ice, a mini fridge, and microwave, so that part was communal but a non-issue. There's no traditional lobby so you're really entering and exiting on your own via code the whole time. I'd never stayed somewhere like that before. The room was also perfect- a king bed, two lounge chairs, a tv, and a bathroom. All super clean and seemed newly renovated. Free street parking and nearby surface lots as well. Truly not one complaint about The McKey!

This was a very interesting stay - only one night for business- so I wish I'd had longer to better…read moreevaluate. But for the one night, it was a nice sleep. It seems very clean and the historic nature of the building is cool. The rooms are various sizes. I got a huge suite comprising 3 total rooms including a giant bathroom with soaking tub & open shower you could roll-in if needed. The room amenities are nice including premium soaps, shampoos & lotions, as well as available packaged loofahs, vanity kits, etc. The windows of the old building are also huge & look out onto downtown Valdosta. The weird part is - and one that was almost disastrous - there are no hotel staff onsite. You get a code to enter off the street & then a code for your door. The door codes for two members of our group of 10 didn't work after dinner. And one had already been in his room earlier. After about 30 minutes on phone with two different support people, they finally got in. But for a while, they were about to bail for another property, which would've been very disruptive. It was "all well that ends well" though. One other thing - there is a lot of street noise in the morning. Fortunately, we were up early anyway & they also provide a nice white noise machine that would help if sleeping in. Overall, I'll say a 4.
