Great course. Arguably the best municipal in the state. The staff are professional and take their job seriously.

Course was in great condition and I definitely enjoyed my round. However, a young man working at the pro shop was extremely rude. Told him my fourth player apart of the group, would get here in time and shortly before the tee time. He looked at me like I had caused an inconvenience beyond imagination, shook his head, sighed and followed up with a rude reply. Do better. read more

Great golf course in a burb of Dallas. Lots of room to play, long holes with plenty of obstacles to navigate. We had early tee times in November so the sun was also an obstacle. Found as many balls as I lost. Great time and fun play for our group of 8. read more

New to the area as of a year ago. Don't really have a group to golf with just yet. I'm mid 50s and just looking for a good home course. Head over as a single on two separate occasions. These pro shop staff are so unfriendly and unhelpful. I was told no you can't go as a single on 2 occasions while it was clear that 2somes and groups of 3 were headed out. I tried to explain my situation being new to the area. No dice. Bunch of absolute a holes running this course. I gave it 2 stars as I've played once at this point in a group and the course is nice. read more

The guys in the Pro Shop are horrible to deal with. I miss when Sid, Lance, and Rusty greeted everyone with a smile and weren't put off when people came to PAY TO PLAY THEIR GOLF COURSE AND PAY THEIR SALARY. Very nice course and exceptional clubhouse/restaurant with friendly staff to exclude the two gentlemen who run the Pro shop. I have golfed here 10x in the past 3 months and have never been greeted with a smile instead more of a grimace that they have to help me to begin with. I have never taken more than whatever time it takes to pay for my round and range tokens yet it's as if I'm taking their time from them. I treat them with respect because I don't know what their day is like but man I would have skipped eating at their new restaurant if it wasn't for the back patio entrance and the front entrance. The men in the pro shop have the worst costumer service I have ever seen, they acted as if I was a bother to them when you would think they would be warm and welcoming to their guests but I didn't even get greeted. The course it's self was wonderful and the greens were fair, the restaurant employees were very accommodating and friendly, the food was amazing, and I had an overall great experience with the expectation of the pro shop. read more

Since I moved here a year ago, I've played this course more than any other. Me and some of my guys go out after work once a week during the spring-fall season. It stays light enough out until about 8:30, so we usually get in 9 holes with no problem. We never have a wait - occasionally the people ahead of us hold us up, but for the most part it's pretty smooth. I still really like this course. The 3 9-hole courses are Mockingbird, Bluebonnet, and Pecan. The first two are preferred by us as they aren't too difficult. They present enough of a challenge for some after-work-hackers. Pecan - we hate Pecan. It's tight, narrow, long, difficult. Some truly hellish holes on Pecan. But I love the place. The clubhouse has golf written all over it. They have a great staff - shout out to Erin the bartender/beer-cart-girl - she's the best! It's a great course and a great deal and I look forward to every single round. Revised rating. Despite my earlier experiences with the staff, I kept coming to this course - largely cuz of the price tag and the quality of the golf holes. I realize now that the staff is a lot more friendly and accomodating once they get to know you and see you as a regular. Much better experience as time goes on. read more

There are many outdoor activities, including; marinas, golf, parks, and trails for pedestrians, hikers, bikers, and equestrians alike. The current major disadvantage of this location is the current construction project. That aside, the area full of recreational activities, worthy of the trip and even the headache of the construction zones. I would advise checking for highway closures/alternate routes ahead of time. Meadowmere park, Scott's Marina, Cowboy's Golf Course, and Katies woods are some areas of interest. read more

Played here a month ago - couldn't believe how green the course was. One of my favorite courses in DFW.

I almost knocked this course down to 2 stars due to the old geezers in the pro shop. Busy course that gives a lot of preferential treatment to regulars. Solid course is a slow playing couse. Would not allow my friends 9 and 10 year old boys to ride in cart with him. Marshall chased us down and made one of the boys walk. Rudeness more than once here. read more

I live golf and especially love a course I can easily get on close to the office... Grapevine is convenient, but the staff isn't very friendly and IT IS NOT WORTH $58 ON A WEEKDAY. I know $16 of that is cart, but it doesn't matter they're overpriced. Especially in winter they should drop the rates and fill the place up! Make your profit with a quality cart food vendor. read more

Great old course with lots of terrain changes, dangerous water for balls, beautiful trees, lots of wildlife in the evening. I've send coyotes and bobcats plus some deer tracks one time. Difficult dog-legged left on Mockingbird. Love the course, playing again tomorrow. Also I like the tall old guy in the shop, he's been nice to my group. read more

Had the same problem with the staff. They are not very friendly at all They act like it is an imposition when you talk to them Rates are OK but not worth putting up with a rude staff Beverage cart will only come around once or twice during play Lots of courses to play in the DFW area with the same price, same course read more

The course is coming around from the flooding, and the vast majority of it is back to its usual excellent conditions. It is still one of the best values in the area. read more

Pretty challenging, but beatable. All the staff we interacted with were friendly. You will lose some golf balls.
