rows of wine bottles in a wine store

Located in a busy shopping center, this is a super cute spot to have some wine or beer. There's no food or anything. Met a friend here for wine and we sat on the comfy couches. They do have a small bar area and you can actually buy wine and beer here to go. I browsed a bit. I found the prices reasonable. I would definitely come back again.

I've always enjoyed shopping for beer here... their selection is good. They also have a wine tasting bar, welcomed BYO food, and had live music on the weekends before the pandemic. What I'm super happy about, though, is their customer service... responsive, really nice, and they deliver to the local area (with minimum purchase)! We aren't getting out much because of a high risk family member, and delivery is our lifeline. Yeah, we're totally okay without beer, but it makes our social isolation a little more fun when we can sit on our patio and enjoy a cool drink with each other. A big THANK YOU, if you guys at the store read these reviews. Especially to Jairo, you rock. Stay healthy, everyone!

This is a cute craft beer and wine shop with a draft selection and small plates- nice selection of beers and wine refrigerated and ready to go. They often have live music on Fridays and you can fill a growler here. Good variety of local and import beers. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Some outdoor seating and next to cava in the Kentlands.

Visits to P&P have been more about the place as a bar-lounge than as a retail store for its beer and wine. What makes a bar vs. lounge or both, I do not know but there is an actual bar and taps AND there is comfortable "couchy" seating to "lounge around." The beer and wine selections for sale and carry home does look to be of good quality and we have purchased beer and wine from there a few years ago, but not in quite some time so it would not be fair to include that part here. So please do stop and see the selections for yourself. And please stay for sip; you will NOT be disappointed if you linger there. You might even see the owners, and share a greeting; they are very friendly, good folken. What we can also comment on more intelligibly is the SELECTION and SIZE of the bar-lounge sitting and drinking area. My my my how you have grown P&P! Congrats! At one time there were only a couple taps and an odd self-service wine dispensing system. Back then, there were only limited couches and seats available, and a couple tables outdoors for seating when the weather is favorable. But now, ho ho ho! There is a nice long bar that seats 4-6, there are more than 5 taps of quality selections and long tables that stretch all the way to the back of the store, and more outdoor seating and the weather has been great, right?!. There is still lounge-style seating but there is more of them. Double the seating as before? Maybe. I am very excited to report that there is live music Wednesday-Friday but we have not gone recently and I am itchy to do so. Maybe this week (I hope!) With more & more and places offering live music, what separates one place from another is the selection of what you are sipping while you listen to the good tunes and of course, the quality and service of the staff. The staff there acts as if they are all family in that they all care about providing you good service as if they were part owners and not just punching a clock or getting a paycheck. When billed for in-house dining, the bill has no line for tip...not sure why since they have brought the beer to our table...in the past, we had long discussions with various employees, some who were actually related to P&P but even if not, you will find the staff good for some chattin' unless you don't want any; they won't intrude on your "date" if that is not your speed. I look forward to adding more to this review once I check out the live music (this week anyone, anyone? Beuller? ) and take a closer gander at the selections of that sweet, sweet amber.

Grape Escape has a huge assortment of wine and beer to choose from! Their happy hour features $1 off draft beers, $1 glasses of wine, and up to $3 off select bottled beers. They also offer free wine tastings on Fridays! Our bartender, Thomas, offered an excellent suggestion on a bottle of Pinot Gris which perfectly suited the vibe of the outside patio area. You can also order food directly to the bar. I would definitely visit again!

3.5 stars?! 25 reviews? There are 21 more reviews that "aren't recommended," many of which would bring the rating up closer to the 4.5-5 stars that this establishment deserves. Pinky and Pepe and their enthusiastic staff have made Grape Escape, which has always been the Kentlands best place to buy to buy beer or wine from friendly, expert owners with an amazing selection and dedicated, friendly, expert staff, into also being the center of Kentlands evening and night life. With happy hour starting at 4:00, free wine tastings at 6:00 on Fridays, free beer tastings at 6:00 on Saturdays, and incredible live music (no cover) Wednesday through Saturday nights starting at 7:00, it's a great place to bring old friends and meet new ones, since the clientele are as friendly as Pink and Pepe and their staff. Had such a great time last Friday night! When I'm cooking, or bringing wine or beer to a friend's house, I tell them what's being served, and I've invariably been happy with what they've helped me choose, and by the way there's never an attempt to upsell. Great people. Great beer and wine. Great music. You get the idea. Did I mention that unlike any other wine/beer store in the Kentlands, there's plenty of free, convenient parking? I will!

The sandwich was actually the real deal. The meat was super tender, no connective tissues, no chewy meat. The bun was super fresh and soft. This area seems to think that CheesesteakCo up in Baltimore County somewhere or Glen Bernie is the best but no it's not sorry! This Beers & cheers jawn needs to be talked about way more because it was absolutely a good cheesesteak sandwich that is damn near Philadelphia quality.

Tuesday 1/7/2025…read more Came across this spot randomly on Yelp a few years ago and saw they had some popular items like wings and cheesesteaks but what caught my eye most was the different empanada flavors. I made a pickup order over the phone and everything went well. One thing I got notified by the worker was that the empanadas will soon be leaving the menu permanently, so luckily I could try them before the change went into effect. For my order I got: applefest empanadas (2 ct) $6.49, steak and cheese (provolone) $12, and the 12 ct Mexican BBQ wings $16.49. - When it comes to the Applefest empanadas they were decent and they kind of reminded me of the McDonald's apple pies (an item I last tried YEARS ago). But I didn't like the $3.25 cost per empanada and being forced to order the empanadas in 2s-4s-6s without having the opportunity to mix flavors. - The steak and cheese was alright. It didn't wow me or anything but it gets the job done. - The Mexican bbq wings are a pretty good price, but I made a mistake with the flavor as the dry rubbed "Mexican bbq" wings were weak. Luckily, I had some BBQ sauce at home, and adding it to the wings enhanced the experience. Overall, Beers and Cheers is a cool little spot. The wings for the price are pretty good and something I'd recommend, but I honestly can't see myself returning.

Had to pre-pay ($$$) for a Valentine's Day evening meal. Received an after 7 dinner time. Arrived 10 mins early and stood in a make shift area. No signage, no host stand, better yet, no host. 1 couple waiting before us. No greeting from anyone. Were we supposed to seat ourselves? After waiting 15 mins in a line we made, another guest who was seated in the dining room walks up to the now 4 couple waiting in line, he tells us "They don't have prime rib nor cheesecake". Well, that's what the pre-paid reservation included. So that guest and his significant other left after waiting 20 mins and were not greeted. Yes, they admitted to having to seat themselves! The lack of preparation and the ignorance to try to provide customer service is unprofessional and irresponsible. No one from the dining staff attempted to look our way. At least 4 couples left hungry, in dismay and without the availability for other restaurants to serve us all considering it was now after 8pm. This smears Double Tree and Knife & Fork. This was the worst and we didn't even eat.

I've lived in the city for years and seen various similar restaurants in Chinatown come and go -- like Fuddruckers, Green Turtle, and Ruby Tuesday. And while they may have similar menu items, the food was good. We stopped by on a Saturday early-evening and were seated immediately which I didn't expect. There is 2 floors of seating in what looks like a seemingly small location. While I was there, I saw them quickly accommodate 2 huge buses of tourist with burger dinners and drinks quickly while also still serving regular patrons. As for food, I can say that everything my party ordered was a hit: chicken tenders and fries for kids, cheeseburger, salmon dinner, and pizza! They also had a really cute kids menu ice cream to end the day for my little one. Highly recommend for a sit down meal, decently priced, family friendly, and solid food.
