I was jet-lagged, dehydrated, and hungry, and the thought of wandering around in search of a…read morerestaurant sounded not like a good idea. Thankfully, Yelp quickly found me this grocery store. Monoprix is a pretty sweet one-stop-shop that includes a department store, pharmacy, and grocery store (and probably more--may report back). The clothes are cute, and you can even find some cozy natural fibers. I definitely recommend stopping there first if you forgot an essential garment (or the weather took an unexpected turn). This review is not about the clothes, though. The grocery store was pretty busy, as we arrived right when people are leaving work snd heading home. This location had tons of convenient items and snack items that were perfect for eating right away (OF COURSE I mean as soon as you get home or find a suitable park bench to pause at). They also had some more ingredients-type foods, along with an impressive selection of cheeses that rivals any from stateside. Good service and reasonable prices (it's Paris, so they may be higher than you are used to, but nothing to make you faint). Awesome selection.

Just so it's clear: this store closes at 19:45 on Sundays and 20:45 every other day, no 9 p.m., no guesswork. That's how it's always been, posted on google for anyone capable of reading. If your parents strolled in at the last minute and got shut down over a cucumber while staff were closing, that's not "rude" -- that's normal. People have homes to go to, they aren't paid to play customer-service therapist past closing time. Next time, verify actual hours instead of telling Yelp bedtime stories. Take care. P.S: The store is great.

mMmm.. I can have their flakey croissants every single freaken dayyyy! It was delicious~!!…read more The hubs and I decided to pick up some macaroons as souvenir before heading back to London. While waiting for the store across the street to open up, we came into the cafe one to enjoy some breakfast. Best decision ever! There was a few people ahead of us and there was only one girl working, I was worried she might fall behind, but to my surprise she took care of every single one of us. The hubs got a plain croissant with a cappuccino and I had the pistachio one with a bit of a sweet filling and a mocha latte. Originally I wanted a Matcha one but it was not available, which is fine. Both of us really enjoyed our breakfast very much, due to the mini wait, we got a free macaroon and it was delicious as well. There is a small clean nice eating area for you to enjoy your snack. Its a good spot for a quick snack or bite, not meant for long term sitting around. The restroom is very spacious and clean as well. There is a reason why people enjoy coming to Pierre Herme, you are able to taste the quality of the food and you can tell that effort was put into making each and every one of these small yummy pieces. Overall I feel like Pierre Herme taste much better then Laduree, given that Laduree is already in the states, i would recommend checking Pierre Herme out. Price - reasonable Recommend: YES

Wish they had a shop at Charles DeGaulle airport like Laduree does so I can take some fresh ones home right away. Their flavors are imaginative and well paired and I do appreciate the frosting to shell ratio, tipped more heavily on the frosting side. They are all mostly super sweet so find a good cafe to park yourself at, order your favorite large coffee and bring out the box of Pierre Herme deliciousness. Don't miss trying the Ispshan and the chocolates, too.
