I hired Robert Morris recently to handle the probate estate of my deceased mother's, and was very pleased with the results. During our initial meeting, he seemed to be quite knowledgeable about the probate laws that would apply to this particular type of probate estate, and took the time to explain them in detail. He had a patient, personable manner during this meeting, and was very upfront about everything. He charged very reasonable fees for this case overall. My deceased mother's probate case was approved without any issues, at every step, and all of the assets from her estate were subsequently released without any delays; this is the ultimate goal of any probate case, and his exceptional legal expertise absolutely helped bring about this successful outcome. I later decided to have Mr. Morris prepare some trust administration documents for an irrevocable trust which I am currently serving as the trustee of. Again, he charged fair, reasonable fees for these, and also took the time to add some critical, necessary updates needed to conform to Nevada law (the trust had originally been drafted in a different state). I have since used these documents to handle a number of financial banking matters, and have had no issues at all with the banks when doing so. Having these properly drafted, well-prepared documents on hand to use for such matters made a very significant difference in terms of time, hassle, and stress when it came to administering this irrevocable trust; I have since realized how crucial it is to hire a skilled estate planning lawyer for these situations. Mr. Morris provided outstanding work for my particular probate and trust matters overall, and I couldn't have been more impressed. I would definitely recommend hiring him and his firm. read more

Admittedly when I called I wasn't sure if they could even help. The receptionist was incredibly sweet, listened to my issue, and then set up a meeting over the phone for the following day. I can't remember who I spoke to, but he gave me great advice, listened intently, and told me what I needed to do before I really needed to get a lawyer (and even told me honestly that I probably wouldn't need to). Would not recommend this law firm. They leach on people's lack of intelligence and are overpriced. I worked in an estate planning office for years, I needed to get a simple amendment to a trust (mind you these are easier and less expensive) but the attorney wanted to restate my whole Trust and charge me $1600. Their reasoning was doing a simple amendment is far more Difficult and time restrictive then restyling the entire trust! Wouldn't do the amendment and we didn't go with this company. Mark was the attorney who worked at Jeffery Burr and Associates when we first prepared our Trust Documents in the state of Nevada. I really truly do not understand all of these five star reviews. I seriously have had the worst experiences with one of their attorneys, over and over. The ONLY good thing was that he responded quickly via email but he was constantly confused or had forgotten (all of?) the details of the case. He would review things so quickly that I had to stop him, time and time again, to ask him, "I'm sorry, what is that exactly?" and "What does that acronym mean?" I didn't need it dumbed-down, I'm not an idiot, but I needed the legal terms and processes explained, because I'm not an attorney! The office dropped the ball for over a month on filing paperwork on my behalf and if I hadn't of checked on it, I don't think it would have ever gotten done. The front desk receptionist was never friendly and acted like my being there was an annoyance. I just could not recommend this firm. read more

Unfortunately I have had numerous experiences with lawyers throughout the course of my life, some amazing, some adequate and some that lack the skill and/or professionalism it takes to get the job done. Jason Aivaz of Grant Morris Dodds took payment in advance and has lacked the dedication and interest it takes to handle my matter. His only actions on my behalf seem to come as a result of my emailing him asking for status or a phone call from me asking for status. He has said to me he gauges his representation as successful so far yet he is aware of my dissatisfaction about having zero accounting of funds in the trust, location of those funds and no full dispersal after 17 months since my mother's passing. Since hiring Jason Aivaz and the Grant Morris Dodds firm those are the things I've requested and have not yet seen or received. Knowing the details of my trust issues and his willingness to take the case I'm shocked that there has been no resolution. The only reasons I can place on this not being resolved is Jason Aivaz's lack of commitment to seeing this through, unwillingness to hold the other party and her attorneys accountable as well as his behavior when I ask for him to be accountable. I would describe his duty to act on my behalf as lazy, passive and arrogant. I just wanted an attorney that listened to me, represented me, someone to stand up and fight for me and I feel like it's me battling my lawyer, Jason Aivaz, on top of still having to battle the trustees lawyers to provide an accounting, provide a location of funds with interest rate and final dispersal. I'm posting this review before my relationship with the firm is over knowing they will probably see this because I've honestly lost all faith and hope in achieving the goals I had set by hiring this firm. *The response from GMD, terminating an attorney and client relationship in YELP response. My husband and I had a free consultation with this firm scheduled today. I followed the directions to the address 2520 Saint Rose Parkway. I parked in the parking lot behind 2500 Saint Rose Parkway; because NONE of the other buildings had numbers on them. I attempted to call them on the number listed on YELP, on their website and online. AND THE CALL WOULD NOT GO THROUGH!
