Christmas Catastrophe. My daughter's heirloom Christmas stocking needed a new white cuff because…read morethe original one had turned the color of weak coffee. I chose the owner of this shop because I thought she had a large enough satisfied clientele base to support her business located in a strip shopping center. I took the stocking to her about three weeks before Christmas. Since her Facebook page stated she gave quotes on her work, I asked her how much she would charge. "$10 to $15, maybe $20. It depends on how long it will take." I bought the fabric, sewed my daughter's name with blue sequins and seed beads in a straight line along the bottom of the material and brought the project back to her shop. When I picked it up a few days later, I was astonished to see her work! She charged me $32. I took the stocking and extra fabric home to see if I could salvage anything. It was no use. Photo 1 shows the shape she cut from the fabric. Photo 2 illustrates not only the 5-degree slant of the name but also the asymmetrical placement of the word. There is no border on the left edge and a 1 1/2" border on the right edge. I took everything back to her shop and explained why I wanted my money back. She told me she would do it over but didn't give refunds, a policy was not posted in the shop. I said I didn't trust her. I would have liked to have posted this review with zero stars.
