When we finally had the hearing 3 years later I found out I was the one that needed to produce the information to get the case resolved. It was the other party that was responsible and they avoided doing their job! It took me 15 min. to do something that could have been done way before the hearing. When I finally went to finalize the settlement they had spelled my name wrong, had the wrong address, and his phone number as my phone number. It all had to be changed which took more time. Wouldn't you think someone in his office would go over paperwork to make sure it is right? This nightmare is finally over! It is hard to have faith in attorneys, at least this one! I was at Ray law office once in the man flipped his pockets inside out because that's what all these lawyers care about is money, money, money!! Unfortunately I heard Steven doesn't do family law any longer because I would definitely use him again over anyone else. He worked with me on the retainer fee and I didn't have to pay him my $1,500 until I received my taxes. Until then I only paid him $200 a month. He always returned my calls and emails and text messages and was always on time to court. A different lawyer I had named Dave castañero never showed up and never gave me any invoices I never had a free consultation he was always late and he made me uncomfortable by yelling and court and getting all hot and sweaty and dramatic with the judge. Steven is the opposite. Steven is a perfect example of how an attorney should be. Someone who cares about a family he is a family man not just someone that wants your money. I don't know what happened with his license in the past but you can't please everyone. I should have done this review a long time ago and I think I've done one in the past.
